i just got some pamphlet where park manager chris sullivan said, 'this years expanded terrain feature setups will be an exhilerating challenge to skiers of all levels' or something like that. Looks like we're getting a second jump...

nice, i think this year i'll have to ski sundown for the first time in my life. i've had enough of powder pimple.

for all of you who are still riding sundown, there new plan is to spread there park features out over different trails. i heard from chris and bob that they plan to put one or two 'features' on different trails spread out over there hill. they are trying to build there park to every skiers and snowboarders ability, but dont really understand that a decent park needs to flow, so look to hit only one jump or rail per run.

is there really a place where they could make a park, though? maybe on tom's treat they could put a couple small-medium tables and rails, but i don't think they'd be willing to.

in other news, i heard they're going to open up that area behind the sundeck as a glade because so many people ski it anyways.

they already got it made. i went and talked to the guy thats in charge of it all and he said he was gonna ask if he could cut out canyon and put the S rail up there.

so true...take the second half of gunbarrel on the right side, they could put in 2 or 3 huge kickers, 1 on stinger and tempter and one on the bottom of nor easter if they widen the trail.

They would make so much money if they invested in good terrain features. The whole image the try to obtain of being a 'family mountain' is BS. The guys that work there say that we do this and do that for newschoolers and we are making rails and jumps and stuff, but we still have to keep up our image. Plus seriouly how much ,money and time go into making a nice jump or two. You could easily make a nice 35' table in a day with your whole ski patrol, and it doesn't take that much effort at all to maintain it and make it half way decent

no, i know they wont put in jumps. but they widend the trail by a whole 5 feet and in the brosure they sent me it said 'it will leave more potential area to fill with terrain features on the right' so ya never know.... but no i dont think they will

Yo dylan, Its Jarrod from way back.

Find me when sundown opens and let me know what you guys are thinkin for this season. Chris wants to step things up this season, Ive been gone for ever, but have some ideas. If he lets me do what I think he;s going to, I should have a lot of say as to where things should go, and how they should be set up.

Keep it real

Jarrod
