Assuming it doesnt get rained out I plan on being up there with some friends on saturday and sunday. Im gonna have my cute little flip camera and ill probably throw together a pre-season SR montage. So if you are planning on going up post here with what youre most likely to be wearing that way i can get name recognition in the montage, or you can just find the fat kid with the shaved head riding 09 chronics and let me know who you are.
 
Not sure if I'm going to make the 3 hr drive to SR on saturday or if Mt. Snow opens I might just go there since it's about 2 hours away and will probably have better features set up?
 
il be there sunday. banana suit over saga hybrid. dont know what im doing for pants yet. but i think il be easy to spot..
 
quite a bit. It was deep enough to take the abuse of landings from kids in the terrain park for 5 hours without showing grass.
 
If they can blow friday night, which it seems like they should definitely be able to, you should be set. I wasnt there last week, but people are saying the base was good, and if thats the case a full night of snow making will probably get it back up to snuff for the weekend.

im guna be honest. last weekend was fun. this weekend will be alot less fun IF they even open. if i were you id not go. If mount snow opens ill be making the 3.5 hour drive there over the 45 minute drive to sunday river. Mount snow will have better and more features if they open.
 
theres not going to be a 19 hour window for snowmaking like last weekend. the window will be less than 10 hours if one does indeed open up. id be willing to bet from watching the webcam that about 1/5 to 1/10th of the snow will survive. Leaving us with CONSIDERABLY less than last weekend. The park is not first priority and will likely be very thin coverage there. Grass will likely spring up not to long into the session at all.
 
most likely sunday, and most likely another edit or save footage up for a bigger preseason edit.
 
At SR? I've been seeing a chance of PM showers for saturday. Unless you meant sunday. I might be heading up to SR tonight as long as they say they are going to open up again
 
Sunday River AURGH! Based on the most recent temperature forecast, our window for snowmaking is pretty small so it doesn’t look good for this weekend. :( If that window widens, our snowmakers are on call and ready to fire up the guns. We’ve still got some Halloween tricks and treats in store for the weekend. Dress like a skier or rider with crossed fingers and think cold!!!

Noo. I'm curious as to why the window is so small. Is the humidity too high or something? It's low of 20 tonight up there.
 
yeah but they can only snowmake for a few hours till it gets hotter. Then they won't have enough base snow
 
High humidity and temperatures taking a while to drop. The window just is not there is rebuild almost everything that was lost.
 
i was optimistic for a while, but looking at this realistically there is no way they are opening
