Sunday River this weekend.

Jumline was prime this morning. They got icy by noon and the mountain was packed, but it was overall pretty great.

Forgot how much I HATE SR on vacation weeks...asian gapers galore

But I'm stoked that the park is serviced by the North Peak Quad, there was NO line at all today despite the fact that the line at the Chondy/Sunday River Express was 10mins+

"Don't forget, there's night skiing tonight and rumor has it that you might soon be able to slide some rails under the lights." From today's report.

Last night we replaced all the tower guns on the bottom of 3D and changed them out for the kind of gun that's on T72. Guess they are serious about having good snow for the parks!

From what I have seen/heard, I think there will be a medium jump line in 3D, perhaps Starlight size, maybe bigger, mabe smaller, Im not sure. I think it will be close to T72 in layout without pipe. I hope. Not for sure, but I think.

heading up there this weekend! insiders enlighten me - I'm trying to learn some basic park(rail slides, popping on jumps etc), will there be a beginner park open somewhere?(T72 and 3D is too big for me) or even better, will the ski school have instructors for this?(got 1 group class for free)

Who ills has no rails or jumps or anything, it's supa lame. Gonna be really hard to learn in t72 lol, at sugarloaf right now they have a better preogressive setup.

They still have some decent jibs + little jump at the end for beginners. they have the butter box, tube rail (fun to learn), big flat bar, and the rainbow box, none of which are extremely difficult. Id still give it a go if I were you.

you mean on 3D or T72? Their snow report claims soon there will be rail for night skiing, and only whoville is there for night. I'm hoping they put something simple there so I don't have to risk getting myself killed in large parks.

This is in t72 although i know nothing of a small jump. And if your just starting a rainbow box is a really really bad idea. The snow makeing pipe is good learning material. I would just go and see whats there.

I went 3 days ago and they had a tiny jump at the end right side of the t72 jib park. good for like 3's and small stuff.

Stay away from South Ridge. Was 20+ mins for the quad/chondola yesterday. Go from White Cap, stick to that, and anything that isn't Locke/Barker/uth Ridge.

I'm so mad. During that powder day I bruised up both of my big toes and now my toe nails are ready to fall off. Guess those water bars on 3D really beat me up. Ski boots suck.

Damn, sucks man! Also, you work there dont you? When do you think the park portion of 3D will be up? Or no ETA yet?

anyone know what's happening with the top of T72? there's a lot of snow, and they keep blowing more, but they havent done anything with it yet.

Yeah, when I was there it was just a bunch of wicked steep hills, I prefer the rolls that were there opening weekend.

Yeah they're going to put a couple smaller jumps (like the size of the first two currently) and a couple jibs up there and then make the current jumps bigger where they are.

Source: Head Park Crew was in the park waiting for someone and told Lucien & I, Kushdaddy.

Also, he said that ALL parks will be located on North Peak (only T72 and 3D Park this season) and then next season they're going to cut a glade in the woods directly to the right of the top of T72 and build The Sticks there getting rid of its current location.

I'm not 100% sure. I'm just on snowmaking so all I know is that we've been trying to make snow just on that bottom section of 3D lately. I don't know if they need more snow or what's up. And a bunch of that snow we're blowing on T72 is for the halfpipe. They're supposed to push it down into the pipe. It also helps to stockpile the snow so we don't get swamped once the big events hit and they need the snow

This is what I have also heard, which is awesome. Way better to have everything fairly centered in one location than spread all over the damn place like it was last year.

I've been hearing some hype about having rails under the lights in not too long as well. Does that mean baby boxes in Jib/Whoville or are lights going in midseason on the bottom of T72?

I'll be there tomorrow with some friends from school. I don't know how much we'll be in the park, but if you see a kid tele skiing through with tight black pants, a black helmet and a grey jacket, say hi!

Past couple of days have been banger conditions no ice just straight soft snow. Stoked for the rain tho...NOT!

I'll give a park update because I know when I don't go up I get curious too. They changed the 2nd feature where they had that gay rainbow box they now have a gay flat down rail the really short double barrel one.

The park was legit this weekend but they need to get the top section open with what they're planning to do for next weekend or i'm gonna be a little disappointed, there's no reason they can't put some smaller jumps and fresh jibs up there and make the current jumps a bit bigger and changeup the rail setup down bottom.

If anything it'll give the glades a better base. If I had any complaints yesterday it was that. Blind Ambition wasn't exactly bottomless pow... in fact, I got caught up in some felled trees a few times

Blind Ambition was still fun as hell yesterday. If you go off to the right, there was still some un-skied terrain and the last bit was so smooth if you continued all the way to the end. I agree the park was pretty damn solid, but they need to get their shit sorted at the top.

Anyone else stoked to watch frozen rush? It's a bitch having them close down barker parking and most of south ridge but it's a big event
