Who is a pussy (and going to SR) and who's down to not be a loser (Going to sugarloaf instead)

Set up sucks right now, SR has killed early season in the past few years and now, they just disgraced us. The skiing/snow is really good though.

It felt SO good to get back on snow. Next weekend they'll have up a better set up (I talked to one of the park crew guys). The jump was surprisingly fun to do some butters/hand drags on. Overall I'm stoked to be back on snow at all.

so much this.

a single small jump doesnt make up for those two shitty boxes. who is in charge of deciding what features go in? Its not like amateurs are skiing this early anyways, so whats with these baby features?

lay in a fucking legit rail for god sakes and stop playing with my heart.

park crew said by thursday they are going to move the park back to upper sunday punch with more features

Park was sick last year when it was on sunday punch, hopefully it will be sick for thanksgiving break. otherwise i'll cry

they disgraced you by opening up early and having stuff set up for you to ride, sounds like a bunch of assholes. ski resorts don't have to have a park, sunday river would be fine without the grom's parents money, so maybe be a little more grateful that you even have a park to ride on

I didn't mean it like that, I just was frustrated because in the past years they've opened early, they've had bigger park features in the past years, and I was just disappointed that they did not live up to par. Look at the other mountains in the east coast, and look at Sunday River's market. It's growing more and more every year made up of freestyle skiers, that's one of their biggest markets. Park crew was just as upset, they told me that they wanted to have some bigger features like a down rail and dildo but Sunday River management wouldn't let them, and instead forced them to build a "jump" in the park aka a roller. I don't mean to sound like an asshole just my expectations were high as in years past opening weekends have had baller parks, this year...not so much.

You should see how many kids line up in front of those 2 boxes.. On saturday there were a shitload of people. I dont see why mountains dont cater to that huge audience. Its a money maker.

It can be a money maker but who is going to be a more consistent money maker? The 40 year old guy who dropped a quarter mill on a honestly pretty shitty house in viking village or the park rat who sleeps in his car and eats PBJ cause he is so broke from buying a lift ticket he can't afford the honestly outlandish price of a cheese burger.

A lot of people don't know this but upper management was scared shitless when Great American owned us. The mountain almost went under and we seriously were thinking no one was going to buy us out. This is the reason why Sunday River is a bit conservative and seems corporate.

But enough with that shit we are going to make upper punch from jungle road down a terrain park with at least ten features. Its all up to snow making until we can have that happen though. We got hit pretty hard today with rain but I think we can recover in two days with good snow. Tomorrow we will have fresh snow making snow but I'd wait till the day after that for prime conditions.

lol i think I'm scheduled to be in the maze this weekend and hopefully I can ride after this weekend too. Its killing me right now.

Can't say I remember ever seeing you.

My favorite lifties of all time are: Reid, Norman (dude was a fucking g) and that other black guy who is usually at White Cap but was at midstation this weekend.

the other black guy would be Danny P. I'm a pretty quiet lifty and I'm mainly in the outback running the jordan quad and I ran the chondola in the summer for the past two years. I haven't been around lately for lift4 lately. They cut all my hours and I haven't worked in the past 4 days which is bullshit.

but that cliff at the end of tango is prime. Most bomb place to be is cornerstone and the big boy line made in the newly extended hardball trail. Chutzpa got extended top to bottom as well.

Straight off their website

"Although Upper Punch will be groomed it will be the new location for our terrain park. The plan for the new park is to have six features consisting of both boxes and rails."

word man, wasn't trying to hate, just saying be grateful for any type of park. down with management!

Specifics of what is actually set up.

"Crew spent last night taking down the small park on Upper Cascades and rebuilding it on Upper Punch. Right now there are five features set above the Jungle Road intersection which includes a flat box, flat down box, up rail, down box, and long flat rail. Tonight, we'll continue to build down Upper Punch, adding some bigger features. If all goes according to plan, we hope to have a minimum of 10 features."

tranny on the bottom rail is narrow as fuck and the longest feature is still that flat down box which is maybe 12 ft.

the loaf is where its at right now.

Stoked! Loon should have a park up at Governor's Lodge as well. Loaf looks not bad as well.

4 features are better than 2...not to mention they said they're putting in the bigger features tonight. I know they'll kill it. Gotta have faith

‎"Things are looking good. The crew was able to get eight features on Upper Sunday Punch, including a flat rail, down rail, down kink, Neff rail, down flat down rail, pole jam, and two jumps. Count them. Two jumps. To access the early-season terrain park, head up the Locke Mountain Triple and go straight off the lift toward the Who-Ville sign. Please keep an eye out for other skiers and riders and have fun this weekend. We'll keep you posted as things progress."

Sounds sick! I'll probably be up tomorrow and at some point during the Thanksgiving break...

Was up there today, 'twas a great time. Flat bar was prime, got a nice drop off for spins out. The jumps kinda blew though, too far back and the lips got destroyed.
