i just emailed the park designer of sunday river + owner of Snow-Grind, Josh Lempert and asked him what was up for next year:

Hi Adrian,

Yes I have alot of plans for the 06 season, the budget for new rails and

boxes is triple of what we had last year so we will have longer custom boxes

and some crazy unique rails. There is alot of talk about a new intermediate

park on the bottom of 3-D. Sounds like we may get our rope tow back from the

tubing park and have it at the pipe.

I have to agree with you about Loon and WV. I love riding there. One of our

problems at SR is that we only get trails sections to build parks and they are

short due to so many crosscut. Loon and Wv are owned by Booth Creek. They

figured it out a while ago that parks and pipes are the future and have key

people pushing there programs from the top down and giving the mts the tool

they need to make it happen. At ASC it is a different story we are still

trying to get them to realize the benefits of having a solid park program.

They have recently put Elia Hamilton as the Director of freestlye for the east

coast, so that is a step in the right direction. There have been alot of

roadblocks to get where we are now, but the good news is it will only continue

to grow and get better every season.

Thats sick that they're gonna get a shitload of new stuff. If they could swing it it would be amazing to get some longer trails for parks.

yea and they dont need to be all as steep as rockingchair, i like mellow parks that are mad long so you can flow lines for like 1/2 a mile and not speed check like crazy

no i mean everyday. im going to a school 5 minutes from there where you get to session park from 12 - 4 on the weekdays everyday and on the weekends too if you feel like it

its gould academy, in bethel. People hate on it cause its known for the racing program but they have a legit slopestyle/pipe program also And a mini park in the back of the school. mostly I just wana session park, film + chill though. Holderness seemed pretty sick too but my mom wouldnt let me go cause of the religous stuff w/ priests teaching classes and shit.

so sweet, when i went last year, i was nearly dissapointed (not quite, hell i was at sunday river!) Because of there dismal amoutn of intermediate rails and boxs.

fuck that thats what they said last year. Its not the fact that they are lacking the supplies its the fact that they are too lazy to set shit up. We had the most snow last year and they didnt bother to set shit up. Maybe it will be different but I am not sure.

people don't hate it because it's known for it's racing program, but the hate more comesfrom the lack of a freestyle program

now if i paid as much as it cost to go there, i would excpect toop notch coaching, which it lacks in freestyle

but they may have changed since i have been there a few years ago, but i doubt it since it's been going downhill ever since really

but have fun anyways man, you still get to ski everyday like you wanted

yo thats sick. i ride there every weekend in the winter and im stoked. it would mos definately be nice to see a park on lower 3-D so we could hit it continously from the north peak quad that goes fast
