Hey it is going to be my first year of freesking. i am going to get some twins very soon and i have been skiing for 10 years now and a few years racing. is anybody going to be at sunburst opening night in a few weeks? How was the park last year. i think the place will be my new home this year

 
I'm there sometimes, although usually i'm at switz 'cause i ski for free there. Last year the park was not so hot at sunburst. Sadly, that's the way it normally is there. They always say it's going to be nice, and then it turns out crummy. Not sure if everyone agrees with this, but Switz's jumps are usually pretty decent. Should be interesting to see what everyone is doing this year. If your looking to go big, Tyrol is still the place to hit up.

I really hated Sunburst the one time I went there last winter. There was only one jump that you could do something on and it was nothing special! The pipe had dirt on the walls and it only had 3 rails. They kept kicking me out of the park and finally pulled my ticket for not having twins. Damn I hate that place now!

 
yea they always promise a lot of stuff for the park but dont come through. Ill be there all the time.

Yea, Sunburst talks a lot. I remember some one from Sunburst coming into the shop talking about how great that year was going to be, and all this rad stuff they were suppossed to do. None of it ever happened, and it blew. I really want to like sunburst, I really honestly do, but it's so hard to. haha. I remember I saw the Schrab's there once, oh man, that was insane. They were throwing backs and fronts of tiny little foot and 1/2 kickers like nothing.

sunburst is where i do my thang, i like it more than switz. i landed my first 720 on the big table top there after we built a better lip on it.

ill be there everyweek, i couldnt turn down a 99 pass! but i ski mostly tyrol.......there park is the best in tha midwest!

Yeah i just saw their web site and they got photos. im so stoked. Let me know when the place is going to open im headed out there opeing night. Does anybody know if they will make a deal if somebody brings a shovel to make some kickers?

i posted this on midwestskier, but for those that didnt know, sunburst opens on friday the 23rd, or tomorrow. ii have to work, so i have to wait til saturday.

 
Any clue for when their park will open, like mid december?

yeah it was open last night( friday) and i went today. its just exhibition and some snowboarders built a few jumps, one was actually decent.

yeah, that's them. i was just wondering what everyone thought. they wouldn't leave my sister and i alone in canada...i guess they thought since we both ride and are sisters, they could hit on us or some shit like that.

SCREW IT! Come out to Steamboat over the x-mas break. our superpipe is up with 18ft walls and is 600 ft long, with an 18 ft quarter pipe at the bottom. PLUS we have 16 rails up! get out here!!!

haha, all i can say its gonna be rockin....I cant give out details cause i work on Terrain Park Crew there, but it will be worth checking out to ride this year. We might have USASA or w/e there too.

 
All I gotta say is it better be good. I got the season passes, they better open early and close late spring.

sunburst has always been nice I skied there when I was younger a couple times. thenI went again like 3 years ago the park was ok nothing to big or fun. but was still a good time.

Im not hypiong, we got USASA for sure end of JAN and beginning of FEB. Also, we should porbaly have a Halloween Jam end of Oct. with like 20 tons of snow from sturms and like 3 rails and maybe even a wall ride. Also, we should be buying some rails made from a company, not crappy in house rails.
