Sunburst rail /box ideas

DOWN FLAT DOWN / FLAT DOWN FLAT or FLAT DOWN

make em nice and long too, sick of the short rails. no more boxes either.

Either the D-f-D that I posted, or one similar to the one that Tyrol had up early season. There was something about that rail that just made it so much fun, perfect angles and a nice wide width too
 
Please no more boxes!!! They need to set the flex box up again, make it a dfd again! Or at least a big flat down!

A dfd rail would be sick, so would a nice handrail, along with a nice flat bar.
 
Bitch, what you know about flat boxes and sunburst. they already got those B. sounds like an idea that only a dumb skiblader would make. you still strap up dem bladez mommy?
 
yeah I belive we are going to have a Offical PARK CREW this season. so everything should be in the snow really solid with out the wobbly.
 
i seriously just want some rails so bad
hopefully steve voss is caving on the rail idea cause he got that one drop off rail last year
that one is sketchier then a regular flat for sure although i like it
 
Jim's got a severe bias towards boxes so good luck on any urban hand/stair rail.

I believe they are making that long "low" flat one into 100' so that may be the only rail addition you see.

Besides the obvious DFD what else?

a) Any thoughts on a 5x6 box set up as a takeoff ramp?

b) Big Rainbow

c) Teeter Totter

 
im not a big fan of rainbow boxes...but thats just my opinion, plus doesnt sunburst have that rainbow-flat box already?
 
If we arent gonna get any rails? Could we at least have a dfd box, or something else that is moderatly long and exciting.
 
WHY WASTE TIME/METAL AND SPACE WITH A 100 FOOT FLAT RAIL. I HARDLY SAW ANYONE LAST YEAR HIT THAT LONG ASS RAIL AS IS. WHY MAKE IT LONGER WHEN NOBODY HIT IT. SERIOUSLY THERE ARE A TON OF BOXES AT SUNBURST. AND SURE THERE ARE A TON OF PEOPLE THAT HIT THE BOXES. BUT IF SUNBURST WANTS TO BE A FUN LEGIT PARK THEY NEED TO HAVE RAILS. WITHOUT RAILS THE PARK SEEMS LIKE IT IS LACKING SOMETHING. THAT SOMETHING IS RAILS. LOOK AT THE PARKS AROUND THE AREA (MADISON, MILWAUKEE) ALL OF THEM HAVE A FAIR BALANCE OF BOXES AND RAILS. AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM FUN PLACES TO SKI. IF YOU AREN'T READY TO HIT A RAIL YOU WANT TO DO, YOU HIT THE BOX VERSION OF IT AND THEN WHEN YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE YOU CAN STEP UP TO THE RAIL. YOU CAN SKI AT THOSE PLACVES ALL DAY AND KEEP PROGRESSING WHILE STILL HITTING A BUNCH OF FEATURES. SKATEFILLY AND I HAD SOME OF OUR GREATEST SESSIONS AT TYROL WHERE THEY HAD A WIDE VARIETY OF RAILS AND BOXES. ACTUALLY, THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD MORE RAILS. EVERY YEAR WE GO THROUGH THE SAME THING, SUNBURST STARTS A THREAD ASKING WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN THE PARK FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON AND THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS THE SAME, RAILS. AND WHAT KEEPS SHOWING UP ON THE HILL "UNIQUE" BOXES (PLUS THAT DROP RAIL). I'M SURE MOST OF US WOULDN'T MIND BOXES AS LONG AS YOU CAN TRICK ON THE BOX. DFD AND FD BOXES ARE FINE BY ME BUT I DON'T WANT TO SEE SOME REDICULUOUS BOXES THAT THE ONLY THING POSSIBLE ON THEM IS JUST SIMPLY SLIDING THEM. YES, I DO KNOW THAT SUNBURST IS ALL FOR FUN AND SAFTEY AND THATS PROBABLY WHY THEY HAVE SO MANY BOXES BUT SOME PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO PROGRESS OR AT LEAST HAVE SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE CHALLENGING TO RIDE AND THATS WERE RAILS COME INTO PLAY. JUST PUT THE RAILS IN THE SPRECHER/BIG PARK AND LEAVE MOST OF THE BOXES IN THE PROGRESSION PARK. THAT WAY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HAVE A FUN DAY ON THE HILL WITH THE FAMILY CAN SLIDE THEIR BOXES AND LEARN IN THE PROGRESSION PARK AND THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HAVE FUN WHILE LEARNING NEW TRICKS CAN DO SO IN THE SPRECHER/BIG PARK. ALTHOUGH SUNBURST IS VERY LIMITED WITH SPACE I DO BELIEVE THEY COULD HAVE A SUCCESFUL PARK WITH FEATURES EVERYONE WOULD WANT TO HIT ALL DAY.

big rainbow would be tight as long as it is set up good

and im not really a fan of a take off box at all

i just want some more rails more then anything. i would leave sunburst in a second if tyrol was as close because of one reason....

their rails and all the combos they can make with them
 
just imagine how dope it would be to have a flowy line of street rails up where the s box and roller were...3 down rails in a row so you can practice over and over in the same run, then have that flowy line go right into black forest, sprecher, or the progression side...

Sunburst needs to step up as legitmate park, its a joke at this point, my buddies backyard in mequon has better rails then Sunburst.

Flat Rail vs. Big Rainbow, im gonna say way more idiots are gonna get wrecked on that big rainbow then a flat rail,

butter box, anoter classic idea i mean come on, those things are slippery death traps.

Jim and Steve need to actually put on skis and take a run down there hill before they make anymore decisions.
 
i would love an urban flat down rail.

no more boxes. they already have way to many. if i could have 1 thing it would be a flat rail or a single barrel.
 
Those were three ideas above, it's called brainstorming to get you guys thinking of something different.. Yes I want a DFD as well and the only way it will happen is a box, maybe we can convince him of a 4-6 inch wide rail but Jim just doesn't like rails.

Skip the rants, you won't change his opinion. Save them for mgt when robby's gone for two weeks over x-mas and the park will be groomed by donny!
 
4 inches isnt bad, pretty much comparable to that dfd from keystone that i posted...and the one from tyrol

if sunburst doesnt get some actual rails, I am going to be forced to hire a welder and make them myself. theres no way I paid 200 bucks to ride on shitty wobbly boxes set up in ankle deep loose corn snow for a whole nother winter. That's bullshit and completely unacceptable. zomg lets get a teeter totter and a hundred foot 5 inch high shitpile rail! cool idea!

anyone know what they got? sent them a email that said bitch get some rails in a nice way. got a response saying they purchased something.
 
i was at sb for the swap hiked around only found wt they had last yr

remember that battle ship from 06-07. its upside down in weeds missing the top part of the down and half of the box is splinterd off-aka groomers suk at movin stuff

i saw a sick battleship rail yellow/ orange that ive never seen put up.

i sent an email asking what they were getting and they replied saying they would send out an email.

its 5 weeks til season..... no email
 
cannon like they had on the dna tour this yr or like at the xgames last yr where its jus a steep up rail
 
planet rails were deliverd to sunburst today.

when leaving for the trip they had a box, tables, rollers, flats, c rails.

they btr not hav gotton another box or roller or c rail
