Sunburst Doubles Its Snowmaking

Sunburst purchased another 300 horsepower snowmaking pump and 16 new snowguns for this season.

The

new equipment will enable Sunburst Skiing, Snowboarding and Snowtubing

Area to open faster and recover from winter thaws better.

Jim Engel, owner of Sunburst said that the new system will change over 2500 gallons of water into snow every minute.

The snow crews are ready to start with the first sign of cold temperatures in October or November.

that would make me buy a season pass there for sure.
 
C-murder told me they're trying to get a true handrail this year, instead of a metal bar 3 inches off the snow.

And yes P-man, I wish they would send us that e-mail also.
 
i was happy with the rainbow rail and "park bench" they got last year. every1 needs a rainbow rail and u can be creative on the bench. anyone notice the old battleship rail by the pond? the broken battleship box is there to.
