Sunburst 2011

are they really possibly gonna open this weekend? im heading up to tyrol saturday if theyre open.
 
last year they said they were in the process of setting it up but it just takes awhile.

give me a week and id have it done...
 
Sunburst didnt make snow last night but plans on making some tonight. Wont open this wknd. pray for openning next wknd. one more week of the off season...
 
I've heard rumors of Sunburst opening this weekend, right? I mean look at the weather, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights are prime for blowing snow.

At the training i was at on Saturday they kept talking about trying to be open for this weekend. On Thursday i have a meeting with all the snowcat operators so I should have details on if or when they can open. There was still some snow in the park that they had made nothing to get excited about.
 
Whats the consequence of skiing there when they arent open? Just trespassing? Ive always wanted to go after they close in the spring
 
not really sure. there wasn't enough snow to do much of anything out there yet. I'm sure you would get the cops called and ticket for trespassing.
 
Theres a letter to the editor from ski mag i have where a few guys were ticketed on a may pow day and they called sunburst and they dropped charges. But then again they werent park skiers...
 
doesn't look like there going to make snow tell early next week. I did get to see the new Park Bully which looks great. Can't wait to get in that.
 
Have they started to make some huge snow piles so that we can get some tables in sprecher and the bottom of Black Forest? Rails do not make a terrain park.
