Im going to jackson hole and im flying into boise, id and i was wondering if it would be worth it to spend a day in sun valley or if i should just go strait to jackson?
sun valley makes good tuning equiptment, but i bet its shit skiing. get to jackson, its sposed to be epic this yr, there is no reason to waste any time in getting there.
You could try the New resort Tamarack. It's a couple hours north of Boise and according to everyone I've talked to it has a really good park with a superpipe. Just ask Brandon Becker. He moved back from PC to ski Tamarack all season.
sun valley is actually sick this year. they got a shitload of snow, and you can ski out of bounds down seattle ridge all the way to the highway, and hitch-hike back. it's a super long, super pow filled run
Unless it's snowing at Jackson it BLOWS inbounds. I skied there mid-February and the snow was SHITTY. We found some good snow in Rock Springs Bowl out the gates, but even that was skied off. The best snow we found was hiking Teton Pass. Nice bootpack and easy hitching back to the top.
But, you were asking about Sun Valley and I've never been there so....
