hey people...anybody got a couch someplace for a few days? im graduating from college in december and trying to move out to CO for the next couple seasons.
nobody is hiring me right now though because i cant make it to pre-season training (bc of final exams/projects). im sure i can get a job at pretty much any mountain if i apply in person, though, so im just going to road trip out there and and apply pretty much everywhere i go. the only problem is that i dont know where im going to be working yet, so i cant rent an apartment yet...i have to do this thing completely ad hoc. does anyone have a couch i could crash on ANYWHERE for a couple days while i look around, or does anyone have a room ANYWHERE they'd want to rent out?
im serious about this, lemme know if yall have anything! im about to ski my way around colorado until i find a job and a place to live.
 
ummmm probably the day after christmas until like the 10th of january. since i dont have a job lined up right now, im just gonna go home and chill with my friends and family for christmas, then a bunch of us are going to take off on the 26th and head up there.
i think we're going to our friend's place in aspen for new year's though, so ill probably come to summit county right after that and if i dont have any luck by the 9th or so, ill head to WY.
 
all good mang, i know a couple people in breck i can stay with on the odd days when we dont have a hotel, and i neglected to say that we're getting a condo for cheap for a few days since a bunch of my buddies just want to have a fun trip and go home, so breckenridge is taken care of for as long as im gonna need. so i guess im really just looking for avon/vail and winter park maybe. thanks a ton anyway though.
anybody else got anything?
 
If you want to get a better job, or at least find one more easily, I would suggest going out before Christmas, as most places will be hiring before the holidays. But if you're going to get some shit job at the mountain, disregard that.
 
ive been interviewing a ton and nobody will hire me because i cant make training in time. i really cant get out there before christmas because if i dont have a job already lined up, i cant very well justify just skipping out on my parents for christmas. id rather just drive up on the 26th with my friends and try my luck
plus, like i say, ive got the place in jackson waiting for me if all else fails...i dont really even need a job at the price he's offering, but ill get one anyway for the free pass.
 
yah im not really worried about getting a job even though im going at christmas. it's just a matter of finding a permanent place to live.
