Next spring break i'll be headed out to summit county, for a week. i'll be staying in frisco. anyways, i'll obviously be skiing breck and keystone for park. but if it snows, where do i go? i know vail, the beav, and stuff. but those are on the i70 corridor and if that closes, where do i go for pow? i was thinking a basin, so what areas/stashes are the good ones, steep and deep. after a quick inspection of the trail map, it looked like north pole, willy's wide, and corner's chute looked good. i haven't really ever done a ton of hiking to ski, living on the EC. so if someone could help me out with where to go a little i'd really appreciate it.
thanks
oh yeah and if you have to hike to get to those chutes, what should i bring, a backpack, what else?

breck CAN be good skiing if they actaully get good snow. Copper is real sick for pow sometimes too. but your trip is in like 10 month man, dont fret, if it snows, then you will ski pow somewhere.. you could also head up to steamboat.

Steamboat gets really good dumps, but it's not steep at all. A Bay is steeper, but much smaller and tends to get bumpy quickly. If you have someone who knows where to go, Breck has some legit spots.

cool, cool, sounds good. i don't really know anyone out there, besides my cousins, and they well....suck. i guess i'll just ski abasin...thanks for the help.

The beav is awesome when it snowsRoyal elk glades is possibly some of the most difficult inbounds terrain in CO (imo)You could also take a cat tour with vail powder guides. super legit, awesome terrain (check my pics)from what i've heard abasin is good too

although the boat is amazing for pow days, if it is a pow day getting there will be a bitch. a bay will be good if there is a pow day, guaranteed
