I use a trampoline in the summer, but im looking for another sport, like skateboarding or inline. I live on a hill so that's another consideration. I dont live close to a skatepark so I'd mostly be riding street and cruising. Whats easier, safer, and most fun?

Have you considered taking up bowling? Many of skiing's top pros have a solid history in bowling. The "sliding awareness" that is necessary to get the perfect slide when throwing a strike makes one much, much better at sliding rails. Gus Kenworthy for example was considering turning pro at bowling before committing to skiing. If you have a bowling alley near you, look into joining a league. When choosing bowling shoes, look for something with a sliding rating between 7 and 10. This will transfer to rail skills the best.

It's the winter, and the winter just started! Why are we talking about the summer already?

NewSchoolers wish away time better than anyone.

Longboarding is fun. You should try that. Get an entry level board and see if you like it.

Not one of those things will restrict you from doing another

I don't have the funds to get inlines and a decent skateboard setup

Inlines are better for skatepark but Skateboarding is better for street. Skateborading is frustrating but inlines can get boring if u don't get real sendy

Longboarding is great, I picked it up about 4 years ago. Although you may feel like the entry level board is fine, get something that'll last and that's of stiff if you're going to be free riding or down hilling.
