im staying in boulder for the summer and i thought it might be fun to get a thread of cool places to go/see/do this summer in colorado. also does anyone know where some cool cliff jumps are in CO?
 
Cliff jump into water? There is some cool ones at Green Mountain Resavour,,,thats north of Silverthorne about 20 miles or so, cool place to camp also. If you like to mountian bike, Heartman rocks is cool to go and you can camp there also. St Marry's glacier is cool to hike and ski in the summer time, thats off of I70 right after the third Idaho Springs exit if your going West..
 
The best thing about Boulder in the summer is unquestionable:

I hate Boulder, people there are Fing crazy. Boulder is like there own othe world! They hate everyone but themselves....hot chicks there though
 
boulder definately has some weirdos but it makes the town more interesting to me. there are definately a ton of great, down to earth people and i've made a ton of good friends since i've been here less then a year. i can't wait till it's a little warmer so i can float down the creek haha i live right next to it at 11th and marine its like 2 minutes from my front door.
 
-Go cliff jumping at Pueblo Resevior

-Go see a concert or a movie at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

-Mountain bike...pretty much anywhere (you can go do some sick downhill at Keystone for like $15)

-Raft at Buena Vista or Canyon City (You can raft some sick class V rapids 1000 feet under Royal Gorge Bridge for about $40 all day)

-Go to a Rockies game

-Water World is actually a pretty fun park

-Get shit faced in Boulder or Fort Collins

-Sky dive north of Denver (I forget the name of the company)
 
really...that sounds tight i wonder if its the same price as the places around denver? 200ish bucks is pretty steep for me right now cause im so broke from out of state tuition here.
 
Your first jump has to be a tandem, and thats $200. After that they become cheaper if you're doing the training to be certified, but you don't get to freefall as much.

keystone is 38 bucks now, but copper, wp, and sol vista are all cheaper, between 14 and 20
 
Will someone please fly me out to Boulder on the 14th of July? I need Foo Fighters and that day is my burfday!

this isnt outdoors, and you could do it regardless of the season but its still pretty sick.

i cant wait for slightly stoopid at red rocks. other things to do that havent been said yet include camping, wandering around a mountain, swimming in random ponds you find, and playing hide and go seek.
 
07/01 - 311 & Snoop Dogg - got my tickets and campsite for the whole week of the fourth and cant wait, its gonna be sick!
