Summer/Winter home jib setup

So I've been wanting to put together my own setup for a while. I'm looking to build a rail or two and if anybody has plans for a rail setup or a video demoing one that would be great help. I've got a run shaped to put turf or snow on I just need the rails

Go to the build a jib cult. Its under the community tab. I bet someone will provide a link. It will have plans for a drop in, a plan for rails, and pics of how others built theirs.

don't cheap out and buy small pvc. I bought it last winter for my only rail and it cracked the second day (making in un-usable). what me and a couple friends did is: find a stack of blue pvc on the side of the street and take a couple. you see them at construction sites a lot too

I make flat bars outta 2inch or 1.5 inch pipes and it works fine usually. I buy those at lowes. Fatty tubes are the best though. Sometimes you go to ask for them and sometimes you pull a fast one at night.

Do not buy pvc... go to a construction site first and ask, steal if you want... but don't waste money when you can get it for free... That's just my opinion tho

Plan ahead, transitions are everything, it can never be too stable, also make sure you have an easy way up, ladders are not easy in ski boots

Also if you're from maryland I think it was, someone was giving his whole setup away for free

That is why I said steal if you want to... I did not mean it to seem like I am telling him to steal. Sorry for any misinterpretation.

The basic ideas and everything you need to know can be found here. I also recommend putting a stain or water resistant finish on your rail once its built. unless your buying pressure treated wood, it will eventually start to soak up the melting snow and loose structure. If you do this your rail should last years! Good luck!
