So my parents have let me chose are summer vacation spot this summer and I have no idea where to go. So far we have been to maui Hawaii,Orlando Florida, St petersburg florida, in recent years. So does any one have any suggestions?

went to montseratte for about 3 weeks this past summer with my gf, check it out. Active volcane white sand beach you have to hike through the jugle to get to, or kayak around a hunge ridge face, only saw 1 other person/group there the entire time. not toresty by any means, pretty cheep to get to, if youre looking for luxury not the place to be, want a little family adventure check it out

We need more parameters. By luxury vacation, are we to assume that you mean sit around, go to spas, and essentially do nothing active? Is your family's idea of a vacation a four star hotel, all inclusive, with large pools and on the beach?

Is going international an option? What about price constraints?

British Columbia is beautiful in the summer, with perfect temperatures. Head to the coast and enjoy life. Alaska would also be an interesting option to explore. I can't really recommend anything specific without more details.

My parents wanted to try to stay in the country, but if it was a really cool place they'd be cool with it. Price isnt really a issue. But we just kind of want to louge around a big pool, have shopping areas close by, possibly a beach

dude hit up marthas vineyard or nantucket. Definies the word chill. Places are unbelievable and awsome, sick beaches, great hotels, reteraunts, etc. Idk if theres any large resorts im sure you could find a 5 star hotel with a nice setup. Or you could do like jamaica or something of that decently close to the us

Welcome to most of the vacationing world.

Sun, beach, pool, bars and restaurants close by = Perfect holiday.

On that note, I recommend Grand Cayman. It has exactly what you are looking for, is far enough away to feel really special (plus it is awesome), but not far enough away that it is a hassle or terribly expensive to get to (450 miles off the coast of Florida). Perfect clear blue waters for some snorkeling, great hotels with pools to lounge around, good beaches, good food. Your parents will be impressed with this idea when you have rounded it out with some research of your own.

My family and I are always busy so getting away to go chill around a pool is relaxing, sure we're members of a pool locally but its not the same

Any out island of the Bahamas. Eleuthera and Long Island are THE two most laid back locations in the world. On Eleuthera, I bought a 40z of Bacardi Premium Gold for 9 dollars when I was 15 for my rents. No crime, no worries, no fat-ass tourists, or touristy type places. Don't expect 5 star resorts, expect 6 people on 9 miles of white sand beach, cool locals, world class fly fishing for bones, permit and cuda, and 2 lobster tails for 10 dollars.

Favorite place in the world.

Ive always wanted to go to cali but my parents arent feelin it. they said they dont want to deal with the traffic but i can tell its just a bad excuse

Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Final answer. The most beautiful spot on earth, if you want luxary hit up the Hyatt regency in incline village. Beachfront restaurant, floating pier with a great bar, awesome pool, and tons of stuff to do. Plus Tahoe in the summertime is as awesome as Tahoe in the winter. Other places to check out are the ritz Carlton highlands at northstar, the Marriott grand residence club/timber lodge at heavenly, and the resort at squaw creek. All great places for a family. Show their websites to the folks, I can almost guarantee that you'd change their views about coming out to Cali/Nevada. Pm me if you end up coming out during July/August.
