Summer urban jib (with real snow)

no i dont have pics but i do have a question. ive done one but it was at the hockey rink so we didnt have to go far with snow. how do u usually get the snow to the jib. a pickup truck helps but will it hold enoguht snow and wont it all melt out too quick? and should i use my plastic skate jump as a kicker to it? any info would be so tight. i have a ton of pics of rails i wanna hit up in the summer that i have already conquered in the winter. hit me up on AIM at npublicenemy900 for them

Pick up truck works fine, as for it melting if you have a hole bed full of snow you will be fine to drive for like hour with out loseing a alot of snow. I use my van with a tarp down so nothing gets wet, get some drive way salt to make it last longer and it also makes the snow faster.

when i've done them, we used a pathfinder, threw a tarp down and just filled the back with snow, then turn the AC on full blast, works pretty well

yeah melting won't be a big option.. i'd strongly suggest making a portable drop in that is about chest high, made out of wood that has either carpet, turf or construction fence down it to hold the snow. that way you need less snow. if you're going to use a kicker just make one out of wood, again, and put one of the previously mentioned methods of covering it, and use your snow for a layer overtop the carpet or whatever. use the majority for transition and lip. carpet landing is excellent. you need very little if any snow for it. wetting it works good too. but making as much out of wood for the bottom layers is key. snow is good for tranny and shape for the kicker and stuff. good luck.

 
And also, a bunch of kids shoveling snow up tp a rail in summer looks way more suspicious than a bunch of kids shoveling snow in the winter, so make sure the rail is pretty secluded. Weve attempted 4 summer rails, gotten kicked out on 3, and had security come on 1, but they let us hit it, so just be careful

Hitting it at night helps too, but makes the rail hard to see if theres no light

generator, extension cordes, 5 hallogen contractors lamps. two cameras, a portable rail set up, pre-built launch ramp, pre-built drop in. chicks, beer, food and music.

if you do it big enough, security, police, just about anybody, pretty much assumes you;ve got permission from somewhere otherwise you wouldnt have gone through all the trouble.

if you;re really good, you;ll bring sand, salt and paint so when you get busted, you can say you;re fully prepared to make things right when you are done. and if you are a god of urban warfare, you;ll have some liabilty insurance (so key when you really want to do something dumb)
