summer skiing

That is at Tyrol Basin, near Madison, WI. They have a summer pipe fest last year. They covered the pipe and snow in a tarp and left it till june. They opened it up for a weekend and set up some rails. I'll upload some pics!

Stratton VT hooked up with WEQX radio in the valley and held snow for a pipe for a memorial day comp. it was pretty hot. It was 500 feet when they closed, and they shortened it up to 300 feet (prolly what they did at tyrol and why it looks short), and left a 12 foot pile of snow at the bottom. the day after the comp we hiked up there and hit it, it wasnt bad, and we built two qpipes out of the huge mound of snow. they dont do that anymore and i had a petition but they told me to get more sigs. maybe ill post that back up here again sometime

It was pretty decent last year, 11ft walls, soft but it held its shape, about as long as this years pipe, maybe 300ft or so, possibly longer.

I thought it was pretty good considing the conditions the snow goes through. It sits for 3 months and they loose a couple inches a day while it sits. Add that up over 3 months and thats alot of snow to start off with.
