not really....its only expensive if you go to camp...my advice: go to a really high pass somewhere in the mountains, park at the top, and go ski. Its really actually dirt cheap.....

I'm poor as hell, I ski all summer, but have to hike like 6 miles to get to 100 yard long glaciers to build kickers on. New Zealand doesn't cost that much if you have a job down there, employers will pay your way down alot of times.
