Summer skiing with shorter skiis?

so i was just thinking, I have 177 afterbangs for winter, and the longest skiis I have at my house that I would use for summer are my old old 151 Salomon fliers. What Im wondering is that if I used those short skis all summer would I have too much trouble going back to longer skis in the winter? thanks

i would think that you would because you would get use to spining with a shorter ski and the swing weight has to be different
