Pumped to go to Mt.Hood next week for first time ever. Can't wait to be back on skis after blowing my knee closing day at Mt Baker this year. All healed and been sending dirtjumps so I'm ready for the more frozen variety of booters. Any tips for first time summer ski visit??

Where should i caamp, any pro tips?

Also i will be sleeping in my subie outback, just need a location that me and a buddy can set up shop

Hell yeah man! Bring bug spray because they are bad and came out a little later this year. Sleeping the the Subie is not very comfy but it will keep the bugs off of you. If you have a tent you can probably sleep better.

there are like a million threads about this same topic but i can tell ur psyched so w/e.

bring lots of sunscreen and water bottles. bring extra socks. take ur liners out immediately after skiing to dry them out. extra gloves/mittens aren't a bad idea either. basically everything you wear is going to get a lil or a lot soaked from sweat/snow. really easy to get roasted up there too so bring shit to cover up any exposed skin. also long sleeves are preferable bc the snow is pretty abrasive w/dirt, rocks and salt.

you don't seem 21 but if u r charlie's in govy is a bar you have to go to at least a few times. or the ratskeller. also pfriem in hood river is good. also mt hood rec center. stock up on food either @ the welches thriftway or the safeway in sandy. go swimming in the gorge or around hood river. go to trillium. get a cobra dog and a volcano cone in govy if they're both open.

most of mt hood and the area around it are national forest land so you can camp mostly wherever. or you can crash at the airstrip. no one is really gonna tell u their pro tips for spots. just be adventurous and look around, you'll be fine.

thats all i got for now. have fun and don't get broke off

Oh i'd be sleeping in subie solo, done it before, lay the back seats down and sleep in back, with windows slightly cracked, not to bad, and thanks for the advice! bummed i cant find my spring gloves so might need to pick some up before i head down
