Summer Skiing (Carpet)

Does anyonw know or have any experiance in how well that green outdoor carpet works for summer skiing? Does it have to be wet and is it slick or what not?

we bought some of that indoor/outdoor carpet last year and it didnt work well at all. We didnt put a whole lot of time into the setup though. We just wetted it down with water but that didnt do a whole lot. If i were u i'd try soapy water.

I ski at the crappiest hill ever...

yeah dude, soap it up

indoor/outdoor carpet works awesome. if your inrun is steep enough you wont need water or anything. but otherwise get ice rink snow or soap

go
to jibij

the "fluffier the carpet the better. a shg rug would be best. you keep a hose flowin on it lightly the water is absorbed by the carpet then when you ski over it the carpet is packed down and water has no where to go so you slide on top of it. if you go to a plastics shop you could get a pvc sheet as long as the hill isnt rocky and irregualr it should work fine. if you use the carpet put soap it only helps

You are better off going to an ice skating rink and taking the snow that comes off the ice from the zamboni
