Summer ski setup advice

Hey, I started building my summer ski setup today and just wanted some advice before I continued. Do you guys think its high/steep enough, how high should I build the ramp, and what is the best material to use on the ramp. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

If you can afford it, definitely go with msnow. If not, turf with some water will work just fine

Probably should have gone with a steeper in-run. In the summer when the humidity hits the friction between turf/any surface is reallly sticky, so any gravity that you can get you should take. With that being said you're definitely going to have to put lattice, fencing or msnow up top or soap it alot.

Make the in run like a ladder. The less you skis contact the surface of the in run the faster you will go. Transitions looks good. When I built mine it was trial and error until I got it right

When in doubt go bigger.

I think I've only ever heard one complaint of too much speed from a drop in. It's always nice when you have enough speed versus always fighting for it. Either way you can make it work.

Check out the build a jib cult

I recommend having the drop in not go all the way to the ground. Maybe like a foot above it. When it goes all the way down you loose a lot of speed going up the lip.

I would make the drop in taller, I always had a hard time getting speed but a steep drop in really helps. Also, just go with turf man, msnow is great but its pricey. You'll be just fine with soapy water and turf. Good Luck!

Here's a link to an old summer setup of mine for reference

Thanks for the responses so far. I have been looking at different places to get turf and theres a bunch of different options for length and material and stuff. Is some better than others or should I just go for the cheapest one?

I just used carpet i had laying around for mine. Its really grippie and it was free. Its really fast also, and u can controle how fast u go with how much water u put on it.
