Summer setups

I dont really know if this is the place i should place my thread but i dont know where else!

Me and some friends really want to make some summer setup in our backyard and we know the basics kinda..My question is about the grass should it be something special or just "articial" grass which they use in the football fields.We think it should work when we get it wet and soapy.Please help us!
 
Join bile a jib cult that has a lot of answers! Also I just use regular astro turf with water, works fine, but soap helps too
 
artificial grass...u mean astro turf..then yes...thats is the main thing to use...make sure when u nail it into the wood like on ur drop in...its stretched super tight for the most speed and durability
 
Go to a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes and they'll usually have green astro turf by the carpeting. if not, just ask where it is. Any type of astro turf should work, so just shop around for the best price.
 
if there is any...just find a near by construction site and ask for wood and turf... a lot of the places will give u enough to finish like the entire thing
 
Oh. I only know of one field anywhere near me with it that isn't for an NFL team, so i guess i just dont see it much, hah.

Wood is definitely easy to get from construction sites though. They usually have giant garbage bins full of scrap wood.

Me and my boys just nailed down like 20 feet of astro turf , and then put some turf on a plastic bike jump and , got a friend ours to weld us a 20ft flat bar that is like 4 1/2 feet off the ground.. Do not use wood, your skis stick. Use metal or PVC piping,
