OP has some balls. The rocks really add to the gnar.
If you can find some outdoor carpeting that might be helpful. People are always throwing it out. Should be hard to find some free pieces. Would hurt a lot less than fuck, not fuck your skis, with water could slide a little bit, and you can roll it or overlap it to make it fit.

Also you might want to build the supports out of wood and screw them together/ screw or bolt the tubes to that.

This is the drop-in my Dad and I built last fall. My friends and I used it all winter on school days when we couldn't go to the local hill. I welded up a bunch of rails, built a few boxes, jibs and a wall ride as well. All I need to do now is sheath it with astroturf and build a take off ramp for the rails.
What are you planning to do for takeoffs? IF you don't have a lack of snow keeping them snow my not be a bad idea and will give you the ability to move stuff around.
If you're doing a booter that would be the sensible spot to do some dirt work for a landing and maybe even takeoff depending on size. Also could use the landing for biking if you're into that.
Any more pics up closer? I love cehckin out backyard parks.

I assume you mean building rail takeoffs for when all the snow's gone?
For that I highly reccomend Msnow. I like that you can carve a bit off of it, and it doesn't kill your speed as much. Also it's extremely durable and consistent. The 15 square ft of it on our small drop in has lasted almost 2 full seasons with weekly use. It also holds snow onto the steep angle well.

For the ramps just build a little wedge nice and wide and cover it in turf or whatever you're feelin.
You could roll up your turf in run or if you're using something like msnow build it in sections. Lets say you had 10' sections of m snow in run, you could move the whole in run to bring you into different features and just throw a nice square or turf or carpet on the landing.
Could even sub in some pvc on the flats any spot where you don't need to edge. I've never done flats like that but it would def work on the drop in and would hold snow fine in the winter or if you get some from the rink. I feel like it would work on the flats as well. You're skis would only be touching a few pieces of pvc at one time. Could rock the m snow on turf on the kicker so you can edge it but anything you're going straight on who cares.
Carpet works but it's not super fast.

I hit a drop in this year that was made from 1" pvc ladder rungs at about a 45 degree angle, and it was crazy fast. The launch ramp onto the rail was turf though, so the feeling of losing all your speed super fast was unsettling, and downright impossible for beginners to handle. PVC or plastic lattice is fine for the drop in part where you need speed and don't care about control yet, but keep in mind that it does make dropping switch significantly more challenging.
Try to get ahold of a space blanket and stockpile your snow like Andy Parry did in that TC episode. Nothing beats even just a sprinkle of snow on the landing. We had a sheet of plastic lattice for the landing of ours for a while, but it's essentially like sheet ice. Very unforgiving. At least in Oregon, grass turns to mud outrageously fast, so I do recommend at least getting something to afterbang away on after you stomp a new combo. Nothing's worse than sticking in dirt and falling when you just perfected your britney or 2 pretz 2.
If you've got access to an ice machine, some space in an ice chest or want to throw down a few bucks you can use ice.
If you got your setup all pimped out and just need that extra little something. Can smash it up in a garbage can with cinder block or pretty much anything.
For late spring jams or grabbing rink snow in the summer when it's warm a little salt will freeze your drop in, in run, kicker whatever you want. If you're having trouble getting speed or the in run is too slushy it never hurts. Can also keep your setup going for longer.

Yeah I can't imagine that's a very fast drop in. I'd suggest shortening the amount of flat between the slope and lip, and make a smooth tranny between them that you can pump for more speed.
