So I posted on here asking for help with my summer setup as I'm kind of a gaper still. I received some great suggestions so I thought I would give an update on the project.

After browsing Jibs 101 I decided to make little jump and rail. I'm prob going to make a box a bit later as well.

I took everyone's advice on making it taller and put more dirt on the pile as well as building a little pallet structure on the top. I also used pallets as retaining walls around the hill to kind of 'clean' it up.

As of now I've spent around 50$ plus diesel fuel which I think is pretty cheap for how much I've done. I have barely started on the actual jump part of the hill but the jib part is mostly finished.

OP yours is looking good. im doubtful you can make an actual jump so i'd stick with rail ideas which you'll have good speed for, but that's great work!

thanks man

It cost £4.50 per square meter, I got 10m2 first then made some modifications and needed another 4m2. It was the cheapest stuff on eBay haha

that is really cheap! the stuff I've seen is like 2 or 3 times that

Yeah it's 3mm stuff, it was the most expensive part, everything else was just laying around which was pretty handy

Looks sick! You got enough speed for just about any jib

Thanks! I’m looking for some more jib designs to try and build

Like mr. Squid said above, Lattice ontop of the turf does wonders. Water is essential as well but once you get a little soap on it it’s crazy fast

Looks good! Some people vouch for orange construction fence at the top portion for extra speed! Make sure to use a lot of water and dish soap for maximum lube and speed
