hay so which is the best thing to use that slides good? i herd that astro turf works.

just kidding.

alright so the neighbors across the street are moving, and they came over with a little ramp and a rail and asked if i wanted it. i said sure, and figured i could use it to build a summer setup.

the rail is like 4' 10" long, the little ramp thing is 7" high. (i know the rail is MASSIVE, you don't need to tell me that)

anyways, my real question is about how high of a drop-in do i need to build for this bad boy, and how steep should it be? i also want to be able to use the same drop in for some longer boxes or rails. i actually may put the rail on top of some pieces of wood so it's a bit higher off the ground if i need to.

you realize you'll probably jump over more than the first half of the rail just to turn 90 onto the rail right? its not worth the work, dont build a drop in build a bigger rail, my dicks bigger than that shit.

yea i guess that makes sense. we'll probably build a wood/pvc rail about 10 feet long. how big of a drop do i need for that?

dude if your gonna build anything go def 15ft+ cause with 10ft you are only on for like a second and than off

and with a 10ft+ id say i dunno 5ft? i have no clue

I have a mellow 3 1/2ft tall drop in to a 15ft pvc rail. I used snow fencing and astro turf. I still use rink snow because snow is the best substitute for...well snow. For that I think you could get away with a 2 1/2 ft down ramp. If your not using snow make the ramp a little steep but keep it long. if you can make a short steep section that goes into a mellow section of the down ramp you should be golden. You'll probably want to upgrade to a PVC rail though after a while. Good luck!
