I think it really is disappointing how many people hate to read, i love it and think it's a really great "skill" ... can't really think of a better word. but yea reading is rad
i am so very very glad im not taking AP english 11. doing literary analysis/annotation crap on the scarlet letter all summer would quite possibly lead to my burning said book in my driveway
Summer reading was a pain to extent. I'm not going to lie, I did enjoy some of the books we read (i.e. Brave New World), and at least for me the assignments associated with summer reading were an easy 'A.'
reading increases when you go into college. i remember in high school they could assign us to read a chapter for homework for a test the next day. Wouldn't even open the book but still got a 98% on the test. In college i'd be lucky to get a 50%. With the exception of history classes. I've always been able to get through history without reading. But its my major, so i do try to read every assignment for my own sake.
