Summer rail in run

I have some old astro turf carpety green stuff, would that work for an in run to a rail? would i slide at all? i'm not gonna buy some of that expensive snowflex stuff. i'm planning on soaping it up. will i slide? just wondering if i should bother to take the time to ground it all and stuff.

i made the same post a while ago.... look for it on the second page or the bottom of this one....

If you fall on that stuff tho it might hurt..but i guess becuz its so stiff that u might be able to slide on it if its nice and wet and soapy.

i tried soap and water last summer, but the whole hopping onto the rail thing from the grass didnt work out to well, but otherwise with a little push i got some speed goin, the ice rink thing would be cool, but i dont got one of those

i am making a wood ramp in run thing, then i have a little jump thing for skating thats like a foot high, and my rail is only 16 inches tall. then only thing i need is to know how tall to make the ramp.

Ya that will definately work, use a starting ramp that helps you out a lot. I used one of those factor-x skating ramps and your skis slide good on that if its wet so you don't need to use carpet on it. And I made the most makeshift ramp ever for the rail jump. I put a small piece of plywood under the carpet propped up on a cinder block so that it is like a wedge. It works fine though

i was going to try that and it works i guess but i decided it had too much friction. MAybe you should try being towed by a bike? Instead, im just digging a foam pit and hitting a 4' jump on skates and using poles to throw stuff

trust me, the '' things aren't actually there

ive done it so much i made a 12 foot high ramp and stole snow from arena, thts where i learned to slide rails.

i have an old pool liner.. that slides okay, but wet wood slides real nice...

dont use wood and snow it will suck, astro turf on a big piece of plywood covered in snow works perfect for what i hit. We built the set up in two pieces, a piece for the inrun down the steps and then a small kicker.

Im workin on an inrun rail set up or whatever right now..

I got a 6 foot high ramp with steps being built, and a skating jump thats like a a little more than 1 foot high

and then a 15 foot long rail thats like at 18 inches high.

Im gonna try puttin indoor outdoor carpet on it and then soaping it down..or gettin the snow shit from this ice rink by my house.

it shud work
