Summer rail ideas

hey guys,

I'm looking to build some more rails for my backyard setup seen in the link belowhttps://www.newschoolers.com/memberphoto/773367.0/Backyard-Circus-?s=198488&o=8#3pgIwYkeEqKP1GYI.97

The rails that i currntly have are a 25 foot, 10 inch dieameter flat bar, 24 foot fdf shot gun, 10 foot triple barrel flat bar, a 24 foot battle ship and a bunch of other pvc pipes. I'm looking to build some new rails or a box as i have a fair bit of timber laying around.

There 4 I want to build something new! a few of the ideas that i have are a box like the flat drop down, thats after the wall ride in Shred Sauce or a C, S or rainbow rail? I can't decide so I'm wondering if you guys have any creative ideas or rails you want to see in a backyard?

What i do is use a 2X4 and put metal sheet wrap on it and screw it in in the 2X4 so there is no welding and its dirt cheap

I use my summer drop in for learning new tricks and a C rail and S rail are hard to do tricks on, i would just stick with a nice wide long tube for getting front swaps, back swaps,270's on,270's off etc. Its a good way to practice, but if your looking for some fun go with the dragon tail or maybe even C or S rail.

i think he has those down....

Flat up flat(mellow kink for smooth tricks)

Drop down/waterfall rail

Flat to kicker or flat up donkey

Aframe

Elbow

All of those would be fun, work well with a summer setup, and be easy to build.

I still think the loop de loop is the way to go though.

don't bother making big long permanent rails. make shorter ones that are almost modular and then your set up becomes wayyy more versatile. just make a bunch of 5-10 footers in flat sections, up/down sections, and at different heights. then get creative

I dont have an vids or pics. but its pretty sick as long as the 2x4 has adequate support. and the metal wrap is steel,Not aluminum foil.

Now by metal wrap are you referring to like roofing sheeting or ducting type metal? Where did you find yours

Just some steel metal wrapping as long is it not aluminum foil... Obviously. U should be able to get it at ur hardware store or a metal specialist store.

^Could also bolt down some round tube or flat bar to a 2x4 frame. drill a hole near the end on each end, only in one side. Slip a bolt in there, and crank it down on the 2x4. Would be rock solid and have the same feel as a welded rail.

Thats something I've been exploring for a long time. But fence post are expensive and so is conduit. Flat bars are almost impossible to find. Luckily i found some fence post in my local Forrest for free

You could do the framing completely out of 2x4s and look for steel on CL.

IMO The best thing you could do is just build a few small rails of different height and lenght and then be creative and make all kind of set up's . That's what backyard skiing is all about.
