Summer Jump?

So.... Because I can't go to COC, can't go to new zealand, france, chile, or whatever, I wanted to know what you guys think about building a summer jump. This is without any snow, just using some home depot materials or whatever, and building it for setup on a hill near my house. I just wanted to know what you guys think about it, if its possible, how to do it, what to do it with, etc etc. If I decide I want to, I have like.... 300$ I don't mind spending on it right now if it would work well, so hit me up with your ideas. If I decide to do it and it does work, I will post something on newschoolers for everyone to see.

This sounds like a bad idea, building a ski jump on your own without snow seems like a deathtrap.

No thanks, taking a slam on that is gunna kill you, wood isn't nearly as forgiving as snow, especially if its a decent size jump

^ i disagree. i think that if you have a wood jump covered fully in turf with some sno gell and a grass landing with astroturf over for sliding i think it could work. you need a lot of space though to do decent tricks.

this could be very hard i have a felling it will suck if you do or be dangerous but how big of a gap were you planinnin on buildin

Try to find a hill near a pond or lake and make yourself a water ramp, i was hoping to do it over the summer but i gotta keep my skis in storage in CO while im back home

you could build it into a pond...but if you don't have a pond, i think it would be way too sketchy to learn anything on

not to mention that you wouldn't be able to carve on this jump, if you didn tland perfect youd be fucked

honestly man just don't try it. its a disaster waiting to happen. If you wanna do it into a pond that would be legit but otherwise, its just bad. if you miss the landing or something you would do some serious wreckage. plus you couldnt carve the lip or anything so it would be real difficult to get anything workin. save your 300 bucks and go to the beach or something, and maybe build a sick rail setup.

i think its an excellet idea. boy would a pond be sweet. anyways they do dry slopes all over england...maybe something like that, or into a miniature version of that mongo jumpbag

i didnt see the date then i was gonna post then i saw my icon and was like what i didnt post in this thread today then i saw the date
