Summer jobs?

if you're decent at any instrument besides guitar, go busking.

over last summer I averaged over 30/hour (split between 2 of us though so 16/hour)

but some days you make a killing. Canada day we played less than 3 hours and made 180 bucks. not too shabby for doing something I love. and it's all tax free. oh and the girls! it's worth it just for the girls. you get the occasional number chucked in the case, and they always pay off

There are a decent amount of job openings for Woodward at the moment.
They are looking for councilors (not coaches) to deal with the kids when they aren't on snow/in barn. Super fun, free housing and food, and you get barn access all summer.

i've had a couple sick summer jobs. here's the top two:

1) Skatepark attendant. Get high, kick it with your friends, skate all day.

2) College Works Painting. It's an internship. Look it up if you're interested. At the time, it was the toughest thing I had ever done; but, I got SO much out of it. It was a turning point fin my life for becoming a man.

A couple shit summer jobs:

-courtesy clerk at albertsons

-trails crew

definitely find a temp agency, it probably won't be work you want to do, but they definitely pay you well for your time.

Also look for roofing, its shitty/hot/and tiring but you also get paid bank.

If there are any mills in the area (pulp/paper, lumber) apply. I make $32/hr canadian at a pulp mill. Second summer and second year of University. It's hard work when something goes wrong and can have some big risks depending on the area, but it's a great job with lot's of down-time. Hell, I've spent many 12 hour shifts just watching movies and eating in the control room if the mill is running well. Plus, being in an industrial environment is really interesting as long as it's not for the rest of your life. I love working in the lab doing chemical testing

Driveway painting? like smearing the over layer on the asphault? i dont do it, but i imagine you make a ton if its like you and a friend

im going on my 3rd year catering, and even though it pays depending on what you do, you still get all the free food and leftovers you could want, i work out about...lets say 700 or so a month? depending on the month, and that also leaves your winters free for skiing because most catering companies dont operate in the winter

i worked at a grocery store for a year, they really suck. this summer i'm working for Arizona (iced tea company) i get to drive around a company car and make sales and deliveries. work 40 hours a week over 5 days a week and should be making around $500 a week.

i've applied for like 20 jobs so far on cape cod and haven't heard back from any. shit's gheyy. i would work in a bike shop back home but i want to be out on the cape and near my girlfriend so i'm trying to find either a coaching, landscaping, or runner/busboy/valet job

Right now it looks like I'm gonna get the job but dont know for sure. I don't wanna say what I'll be doing yet because people in the area might snag it up but I'd work 3 hours a day....12-3 in the morning and make 100-145 a day I think!

FUCK yeah! just got a job working a the Great canadian bungee! talest bungee jump in canada and states its gonna be dope! :P

If you can't get a job you can always make an add on craigslist. I did that about this time last year saying i can cut grass, paint etc basic maintenance work and within a couple days i got a response from someone to do woodworking. Iv been making 15 an hour under the table for about 8 months its great, although its only 8-12 hours a week it pays well but i also go to school full time so it works out. Also pretty much get to do my own schedule/ call out whenever I want. I would highly suggest trying to do something like this.

friend gets paid 70 bucks a week to mow 2 lawns that are not even a half acre. Need jobs too but at 15 there aren't a lot open.

I'm paying to work with child protection for the summer. Stupid social work internships. Nothing beats paying to work 40 hour weeks...

On the bright side I will convocate in fall and my final university class is this afternoon! Stoked!

Right now I'm a courtesy clerk at a grocery store, which sucks because I can't start until 2 every day. Ive also got a painting project that will take a few weeks, and then I might look for something at REI or Costco.

any creative ideas for jobs that i would have morning hours? no mean to thread jack. but anything from like 4 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon ish? i hate ruining my summer and i'm awesome at operating on 0 sleep. and i thrive off of misery. please any serious ideas

I worked at a kids camp this summer, most of the time it was wicked fun to pretty much relive your childhood but some kids are annoying as fuck. This huge fat kid decked these two girls right in front of me then called me a dumbass, I was like what the fuck he was 6

Depending on your age, graveyard shift at a hotel/motel. Just sit at the counter all night and look busy, and help the rare person that comes in

The last four years I worked for a landscaping company. It was generally an awesome time. I got work with some super good friends, get a good workout (digging, carrying bricks, moving wheelbarrows) and an awkward tan (socks, shorts and shirts) and create some cool stuff.

I loved all the brickwork (patios, water features, walls and driveways), but it's definitely tough work. I highly recommend it. Working in an office this summer is going to be brutal.

+1 for summer camps! My brother has been a counselor at a local summer camp for 3 or 4 years now, he loves it, and got me a job doing maintenance there this summer. I'm super good with tools and love fixing things plus love the outdoors so its gonna be great.

I need a job for over summer really badly. I've applied to like 20 different things online and all the replies have said "sorry no vacancies we'll keep you on record blah blah". My biggest issue is finding TEMPORARY/SEASONAL work, i'm at uni from september til june in a different area so I can't go for jobs in my local area that want part or full timers because i'm only home for the months of summer. SO FRUSTRATING :(

MUST. FIND. EMPLOYMENT.

Shouts out to someone else who works at walmart. Its part time but u can still get 34 hours a week if u want. I only work about 28 cuz i go to college as well. But i actually fucking love it there. I work with 3 bro's in my department that are my age and its mad easy.

Fighting forest fires. Fun/intense job. Gets your ass in shape. Last summer got to spend a month in new Mexico and a month in Colorado on fires. Pays really well too. Made 18k in three months last year. Lookin like this year will be better, knock on wood

Camp is the way to go. Living and food is covered and I still make almost three grand this summer. All i am going to do is instruct a few activities and some other minor chores on the side.

This sounds tight...but if you dont have a lake...Lifegaurd is the best job anyone could ever get...mad babes always hitting on you.
