haha, that sucks. That's hard ass work too. Here in CA the minimum wage is $8, I think, that's how much I make, and my boss said I will be making minimum wage.
i did decking for the last 3 years during the summer. its hard work but it paid around 400 a week. I wouldnt spend any money during the summer and saved for spirng/fall semesters. So I could ski and party the rest of the year without having to work
i've just got off a 6pm to 6am shift at a factory with only 40mins break! i'm one of only 4 people (out of 30+) that speaks fluent english and those who can speak english are so stupid it would be better if they didn't. i've mustered about 4 hours of daytime sleep and it blows! going back in 6 hours, so in 4 days i'll have worked 48 hours. being a student sucks for getting jobs in england.
got to pay for skiing holidays somehow though....
I don't sleep. I work 60-80 hour weeks a bait&tackle shop. Then at night I'm a commercial fisherman. That being said, I get paid 10 bucks an hour under the table for the shop and then a grand a day under the table for commercially fishing. I kinda make bank.
im an ATV guide, and Zipline guide.
Pretty fucken awesome job, 12.50 hour under the table. Teach people how to drive quads all day, and then push them down some ziplines. Pretty easy job.......most of the time.
i take this back!
after my third shift enough was enough and i walked out after 4 hours. jeezz that was a shitty job! i'll find another way to pay for skiing holidays.
work at a chocolate factory in chicago. today i cleaned a machine in a room that was 120 degrees and the machine itself was around 150. it felt like standing in front of an oven for 8 hours, but i got breaks when ever i wanted. easily the worst job ive done in a long time.
i have an interview at a ski/bike shop tomorrow. wish me luck. (i am pretty sure im going to get the job. the owner said about the interview, "its really just a formality...")
