So what does everyone do here for summer jobs? Where will you work this summer and how much do you make? Can you hook me up with a job? Discuss.

landscaping. especially as the weather is starting to get better. i started a couple weeks ago, worked spring break for 4 days (around 11-12 hrs/day) and came away with a little over 6 bills (cash, no taxes). in the summer im full time. theres lots of landscaping/construction companies, just find em and apply.

^ yeah. also look for businesses or restaurants that are generally busier during the summer than any other time of the year. i just got a job waitressing at a country club

ya they are runnin sightseein things/hiking. Last time I was there in the summer, they were lettin people hook their bikes up to the back of the chairs, so that might be available again too.

they are also serving dinner at the summit house, so you could probably get a job there, they always have a shortage of food employees, and its supposed to be more "ritzy" then just a daylodge/dining, you need reservations

Few years ago, I skied on July 9th at Crystal... wish they'd do that again.

Anyways, I worked at K2 last summer, nothing is better than that (although I got paid in skis instead of currency)

Day camps are also good summer jobs

INSTEAD OF HITTN SWITCHES

ILL BE WASHN DISHES

ITS GETS NO BITCHES

BUT THATS FINE W/ ME

8 DOLLARS AN HOUR IS FINE W/ ME

I DRINK ALL THE SPRITE AND GET WINE FOR FREE

yeah i remember skiing crystal in june a few years ago, any chance that might happen again? I'll probably be working in the same warehouse i was in last summer driving around a forklift loading trucks and just fucking around. its $10/hour so not bad

If they had an arts and crafts section of the camp, i'd be all over that...BUT does that mean i'll have to deal with kids who yell at the top of their lungs and attempt to pull out my hair? How much is the pay?

READY TO SELL YOUR SOUL FOR SKIING?

I'd forgotten about that. I skied on Jul 20 that year.

I've worked at a local ski/bike shop and worked construction the past couple summers. Construction pays way better, but the shop is way more fun.

thats tight. do they have good benefits? my homie works at dicks and they hook him up with like 3 g's a year for college (and its community, so it pays for it all)

Sorry not true, I worked at Home Depot last summer, they don't pay $12 an hour for starting, I started at $8.50, and my friend who has worked there for like 3 years now in the lumber dept. is only making $10. Such a shitty job too, I hated every day I was there, I would highly reccomend not working at Home Depot.

^yeah...my brother was making $23/hour working as a laborer through the union, he got the job hooked up with my day. he made bank. worked 4-10's for like 3 months. he said it sucked though because he was on "fire watch" where he would stand 10 hours a day with a fire hose watching people weld.

i mow lawns and i'm thinking of applying for lifeguard at the local country club. thats the way to go. you get paid for setting on your ass and theres always the chance you become the local hero. oh and you get to swim when the kiddies aren't there.

80 percent of all injeries at pools happen to life gaurds, bet you did not know that. It is a preety good job. but my frien has the best job ever. he is a sailing insturctor, so basicaly he gets paid $10 an hour to float around on a boat and yell at kids and eat. Also all the kids are in sail boats but he gets the power boat so he can rescue the stupid ones.
