Summer festivals

Sled Island Festival and probably one day of the Folk Fest in Calgary dependant on summer school/work. Then hopefully get to BC for one day of Live at Squamish and down to Seattle for Bumbershoot as an end of summer roadtrip.
Unfortunately one day of Mainstage at Sled Island costs as much as all of Bumbershoot so I may have a hard time justifying it.

because i cant justify entering dubstep based threads just to shit on people this is my chance to say...

DUBSTEP is lame. If its your favorite music youre lame. Allow me to just poop in your ears, itll save you money.

I can understand people attending Camp Bisco because of Disco Biscuits and Lotus and catching a set of the womp late night coming down, but I am sure many a poser mahl brat has never heard of any of Biscos or Lotus' work and is going solely for Assnectar and the Womper sets.

This is music, not a dictatorship. Let people go out and experience what they enjoy and like. I love lotus and biscuits, but telling people to not go to shows where there is dubstep just because you think lotus and biscuits are better doesn't help anyone...but what do i know, maybe going to a festival and sitting in your tent the whole time and complaining to people how much the rest of the music sucks is your definition of a good time until biscuits or lotus comes on

i love it! keep bringing the fire. not even a crazy bisco/lotus fan here, and not going to camp (they put on quite a show tho). just think dubstep is cool only in small proportions. cannot, will not, refuse to understand how people became so blindly obsessed with it beyond copius amounts of mahl intake. its. just. not. that. cool.

oh and son, i have more of a good time then 10 flat brim wearin posers put together.

DEMF, I hope I am making my first trip up this year. Best lineup of the year, Sven Väth, Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock, Dettman, Art Department, Hawtin as always, and so much more!
 
sure there is going to be a lot of dub step, it is an electronic music festival. I would say that i hate what you call dubstep and i think the lineup this year is incredible, best it has been. mstrkrft, savoy ,yeasayer, orchard lounge , conspirator. there are so many good acts. if you think its all dubstep you are mistaking
 
been going to mountain jam for the past 5 years now, dont think ill make it out this year, but it was honestly one of the best festivals in its younger days, no regulation, no screens or checks when you go into the actual music section. plus you can camp out virtually anywhere you want and they dont bust you for making fires. but now its a little more strict as it became more popular.

Not a great strategy man. I've know way to many people that have really fucked themselves up or died.

ANd relating to thread. Working at strawberry jam fest this weekend. Just went up today to get tents up. Probably be back tomorrow through tues. I love getting into festivals fo free
 
woah woah! Don't get my wrong, I know how to control myself! Just every damn festival my friends and I prank eachother. I'm pretty sure that they move me sometimes..... Hell! I do that to them aswell!
 
You must be joking. You might not HAVE the money but you can certainly justify it. A fucking LIVE shpongle performance and 3 nights of Biscuits.
 
Also the first live sphongle show in the us ever I believe. Not really a big biscuits fan but the lineup is always good and it's not crazy expensive
