Tell me how is YOUR summer is goin! Got a job, chilling or just getting ready for winter?

You travelling much lately? Ya staying at more or moving around?

Where you all at
 
Biking a lot. Traveling a lot. Got my heart broken. Starting my own pseudo business while still working full time. Eating pizza. Watching TV with my dog.

Pretty gosh darn good all things considered
 
Working, camping, riding my motorcycle, skating, traveling a bit. Headed to Munich Germany Saturday for a week with my wife and our youngest. Waiting to hear back from my company when and where we will relocate to next, I dislike this waiting for an answer BS.
 
been a top dollar summer. been skating a ton, fellas and i go to the wake park once a week, sprinkling some mountain biking in, and bouncing around doing activities preparing to move to montana state for school
 
Meh. The weather has been absolute trash in New England. Either pouring rain or 80+ and muggy. Gone on a few trips, drinking way too much, started a new job that's been awesome. Cant wait for fall.
 
summer started good, got dumped which you can tell by looking at my post history. Thought it was going well with her again we started texting and all but today just got blocked for no reason so fucking shit summer. gaming to get some of that anger sadness whatever out. THEN going to bc august 9th which im fucking hyped for.
 
Started my summer off in rehab but now I'm enjoying life sober. I've been skiing hood, hiking, biking, and spending as much time outside as possible.
 
Taking the time to enjoy summer instead of just waiting for ski season. lots of mtb, disc golf, hiking, and just exploring around the city on my road bike. Soccer and baseball keeping me busy too. Going to Zermatt at the end of september, hope I get to ski
 
Not bad lots of cliff jumping and trampoline. Finished a web dev certificate and working on my last portfolio project before starting serious job hunting in the Fall. Going to the UK for 2 weeks in mid august which I'm hyped for
 
working two jobs in jersey before i go back to school in colorado in august. been in physical therapy all summer cause i broke my knee in half on the last day copper was open. hopefully will be better soon.
 
pretty good, weather has been super weird.

havnt been biking as much as i’d like but going to europe soon which is very exciting
 
Working too much but at least the work is good. Logging loads of river miles over a variety of rivers and sections. Bought a hardshell. Dealing with the end of a relationship that I was super excited about and waited a loooonnng time to start. Crashed and burned super quick and am taking too long to get over it. Haven't seen my family since Christmas so that sucks but will see a couple of them next month.
 
Ive been working on the ships. The heat makes work fucking hard. Been building the money stacks for this winter. Day 40 of 138.

First trip to Rankin Inlet was hard as fuck, but the shore leave was awesome. Got to study some 2-3 billion year old rocks.

I have my neighbour survives the summer. The heat and the smoke is really intense lately.
 
Last week I started rowing and I had good fun. I joined club for summer seasons and hopefully gonna start racing soon. I’ve been in a double, single, and a quad. Anything to make @woflowz happy
 
I've just been working all the time with a little bit of mountain biking here and there. Cooking on the BBQ a bunch and hanging with friends.

Went on a few small road trips and fucked up my car in Maine.
 
My entire summer has literally consisted of me sitting on my ass waiting for injuries to heal

Moved into new crib with some homies. Doing a lot of camping, fishing, mtb, smoking meats, and lifting weights, and hanging with friends. When I’m not doing that I’m writing code. Schools starting up again later this month, gotta finish my capstone project this semester then I’m done so that’s sick
 
skied a lot, ~16 days since june. summer class of Heat Transfer, got an internship (working 8-4:30 blows), picking up the pieces of my dating life, still broke as shit with not much free time. class just ended tho so im on my 2 week summer break where i get to work m-f 9-5
 
Last summer, fucked around and entered a skateboarding contest for funsies, but I really didn't know my own strength from the snowskating and unexpectedly did really well and made the official USA skateboarding team. Now this summer, all I do is practice. ??‍♀️
 
been working all summer, made more money than I have my whole life in like 10 weeks, and haven't spent a dollar of it

idk how i missed this, but I work for an organization dealing with pharmaceuticals its basically importing flour and medicine into the US and all I have to do is clear them at the boarder. Like I can make 10k in a day and my boss (el muncho) invites me to his mansion in mexico to drive his cars all the time. People in america must really like oregano, because the be sending thousands of kilos a day.

Ah yes, flour and medicines from Mexico. That is a very easy way to make lots of money; especially if you are a border patrol
 
just finished summer quarter of school. Im getting acl surgery this morning and then 1 week off. Life is good cant wait to be back on snow!

Mt hutt south island. Prolly open till Oct 15th. Also still prolly some spots you could make some turns and some cool folks if you need to borrow gear to get out and make a couple turns
 
Been sailing a few times a week and raced a few regattas. Haven't gotten that skiing itch until like a week ago which is nice. Usually I feel poor cause I can't afford to travel to a different hemisphere to ski. Now I feel poor cause I blew all my spending money on a new boat.
 
My summer is one month away from being over. Im so tired from working 106 straight days. It was a tough season on the ship; the previous engineer was lazy as fuck and the electricians repair jobs caught fire. Spent all that time going their jobs.

I even caught covid and had to work through it. I know now what dying feels like.

just hope I have enough money to spend on skimo races and daily trips to the big mountains. Ive been dreaming of snow for the last week.

What do you do for work? And how much you getting paid to work 106 straight days?

im currently a senior and trying to figure out the logistics to ski bum a couple of winters

Im a marine engineering officer. I work on the large ship as a mechanic, watchkeeper and operations. Its a good job; I can build, fix and modify just about anything. I work 5 months of the year, mostly all summer and get my winters off.

Its a college level trade, you can get a license in 4 years of schooling and work the very next day after graduation. There is a huge shortage in marine engineers around the world. However, I prefer sailing in Canada. Its safer and make huge stacks of cash when I get off work.
