summer camps

I'll be at Whistler for the July session...you guys seriously should consider not going to camp. Its expensive as hell, and if you don't have the sack to try shit then its no diff than a sesh on your own. Its cool to hang with all those guys and stuff but for me personally its just as benificial to be on the glacier than it is to be in HN's lane. I'm also spending probably the same as you guys are for a session...except i'll be there for a month. Camp is cool i've been, but the public park had some of the best hits on the glacier last year. AAAh well. have fun at camp.

why spend all that money for camp? its the same as our own session!? ummmm I dont think so.... first of all private terrain park, second it doesnt matter if you have a sack or not if you get taught properly its gonna make a huge difference, for example trying your first 7 with absolutly no instruction or a 7 with Szocs or Boronowski giving you tips of how to improve etc... no doubt worth the money.... I will leanr more than you in a week than you do in a month

mike*douglas, camp is cool, but just about everyone at the public park will be able to instruct you on a seven just as well as the coaches. its basically just having the balls to try new shit. camp doesnt make it easier to learn new stuff, the only thing i miss from camp is the perfect quarter pipe, but that isnt worth 1000 more dollars, especially since szocs lets us take a few laps in it everynow and then. anyways, have fun this summer.

do what im trying to do... be an off snow counselor and make enough to pay for a season ticket + plane ticket out there... then u get to ski with some of the best for free... but i still need to grow balls so i dunno...

Its not like there are 12 pros around in the public park to tell you how to tweak your mute backflip. The public park had sweet hits last year but its nothing compared to camp.

ya, i've never gone to camp, probably never will -and i think that public is way better. I was out there last summer for a week with some friends who went to camp (i just skied public)... I think public definitly better. I'll be there for another week or more this summer too.

Most of the days people were in the public park there were quite a few pros that would be willing to help you with your shit. And I highly doubt that someone could learn that much quicker (4x as fast) with camp than without. People have different learning curves. I really hate when this stuff turns into competitions, but I have done camp and i've done public, and i would definitely say that public is a great way to save money and overall more fun. Camp is fun like dylan said the qp and stuff but if you know shane, he'll probably let you take a few laps in it anyways. see you all on the glacier.

your proving more and more that you wanna come but cant afford it... if the public park was so good why are you trying to come into the camp and take some hits, its obvious that you really want to come to camp, just admit it..

nah, not saying they can't afford camp - they are staying they don't want to waste the money on camp... it's much better to ski a month and hit the HN lane a few times than one week skiing the HN lane.

And there are tons of kick ass skiers hitting up the public tables and the windlip... you don't gotta go to the camps to get some advice...

My parents straight up asked me if I wanted to go to camp. I said no, my brother said yes. He'll be out there for session 4, i'll be out there for all of July. It really isn't a matter of money, but whatever you say. You've probably been to Whistler many more years than I have.

alright whatever everyone can do their own shit..... personally I'd rather go to camp to chill with the pros, ski the best park, hit the best hits and rails, get taught by professionals, improve with video footage, hit the water ramps, play paintball, stay in an amazing hotel and chill with liek 60 other chill skiiers... have fun for the whole month, too bad I couldnt stay longer buddy

i will be riding hood allot in june. like right after i get out of school

Is that how ya do it in Canada?

I'm going out to Dave Murray June 21-28... i would luv to be able to go and spend a month but my mom wouldnt let me... she doesnt think im repsonsible enough and Im also a competive horse back rider so my season runs from April to November so I cant just miss a month and still be competive... So everyone has different reasons for going to camp... Camp for me is basically the only time that I get to concentrate on riding park... between racing and teaching I dont get a lotta time to concentrate on me when skiing...
