hahaha yes i realize the day after tomorrow was a gross exaggeration, although after all the death, having snow everywhere would be pretty cool.

even if this particular weather pattern isn't generated by global warming, it is still one of the top 3 problems our world faces.

along with biodeasel, hybrids (my family has the 04 prius and it's actually pretty nice) and solar, one thing we can all do to help the environment is not eat meat, meat takes greater 10 times the energy to produce than grains, fruits and vegetables. the methane, yes farts produced by cows (200 gallons a day i think) is actually, as laughable as it sounds a major contributor to global warming. it is hard to live without meat at the start but after a month or two it gets easier, to the point where i'm barely tempted by it now, after 6 months

oh yah, and global warming is most definitely proven. Bush himself has designated entire panels of handpicked scientists (obviously fairly conservative) to investigate it, and as soon as they told him that global warming exists and is a huge threat, he just rejected them.

now if u want to believe that bush has a better understanding of science than the rest of the scientific world, then go ahead, but remember, just because bush rejects it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist

To all the stupid people out there who blame Bush for global warming. Maybe his environmental policy isn't the greatest, but I don't see you going out of the way to sell your SUVs and buy hybrids instead. Or would you prefer that Bush outlawed cars in general. Heck, while we're at it, let's outlaw breathing. That should get rid of lots of CO2. Don't you think?

yes people need to take responsibility for themselves, but if bush had not been elected the environment would be in slightly better shape, Kerry was still not good on the environment but alot better.

plus, don't stereotype everyone out there as hippocritical people who are unwilling to change their lifestyles. I am a vegetarian, my family drives hybrids, work on a organic local farm in the summer, and even though i pay for all my skiing i scrounged up $250 to donate to global classroom, an environmental preservation charity

Why are you guys talking about BUSH in a thread about the HORSTMAN GLACIER?

I could very easily see no summer camps this year. Last year was really really rough, Iannick and Amy asked Teddy and I ( at breakfast I'm gonna add cause Amy is wicked hot and digs both of us, but me more than Teddy) if we would still come to a fourth session that was only water ramps and activities. And that was LAST YEAR, and the snow year wasn't even that bad.

is the glacier being rained on or snowed on now? cuz its pretty damn high up there so i would think that even if it is raining in the village wouldnt it be snowing at the top of the mountain?

 
With freezing levels of about 7000 feet last week, it was for surely getting rained on.
