Before you kids drop two g's on summer camp, be advised.

The pacific northwest region, including hood and whistler, is having the worst snow season in many decades. All of the ski resorts in Washington state are close due to lack of snow.

The summer camps at Whistler are held on the snow that falls on top of the Blackcomb glacier, not the glacier itself. It's very difficult to sculpt a jump out of solid glacial ice. Hood also relies on the natural snowfall that blows around at the high elevation and fills in it's canyons for thier camps.

SO unless we get dumped on in February and March, I wouldn't count on summer skiing lasting past May.

The big storm that has been raining out most of the lower slopes at Whistler Blackcomb has actually been pounding the glacier with snow! Don't believe all the doom and gloom reports.

The Palmer Glacier at tline has been getting snow though, not rain like everywhere else. So while they might not be open as long this summer, they'll most likely be open.

yea, but the PNW is a shitty situation right now. doesnt look like itll get better anytime soon. hopefully hood and whistler, if only for a while, can operate in the summer. i, like many around here, need to ski

wooo go to New Zealand for Summer camps sounds great. are you sure coaches include JP, Tanner and Pep when will we know for sure and do you know the costs at these camps and when will the web site be up

GET UP FROM YOU COMPUTORS AND CATCH SOME AIR, GRIND A FEW RAILS, RIDE A PIPE OR JUST DO A FEW RUNS WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
 
thatd be tight, new trend, going to different countries for summer skiing...yur paying 1600 dollars to go skiing, so what an extra 500 dollars for a plane ticket to France or New Zeland?

the camp is pretty cheap compared to most and ive talked to people who had been to high north campin whistler and they said that boarderline was quite a bit better

mts season was great as of two weekends ago, but we have lost like 2 feet of base at big mtn. i wouldnt count on anything man, but i really hope mother nature throws down, cause it really is sucking up here
