Umm, yeah. There are a lot of corners cut in our judiciary system when it comes to penalizing those who should serve time for bad deeds done vs. those who are stuck between a rock and a hard place. A person going bankrupt and misfiling a few tax documents can look at serving 10+ years while a serial rapist can walk after serving half of their 1 year lenient sentence. Our justice system uses a lot of (undermining?) factors when it comes to violence, abuse, even murder - financial crimes are the cream of the crop when it comes to long sentences, often in quite controversial cases.
Don't walk the high road here, buddy. We all know you're a lawyer, share your insights rather than trying to trample others down. But let's keep this about suing as you said.
