i hate this topic because so many people just plain don't understand anything about it. i'm not in any way condoning suicide but its frustrating to realize how many ignorant people there are out there. it's very seroius, hello you're dealing with life and death. i didn't read all the comments because as i said this topic upsets me on a very personal level, but i wish everyone would be mature about it, rather than some. unfortunately its one of those things you'll never understand untill you somehow deal with it personally (friend, family member, yourself, etc). although the immaturity and ignorance about this subject is what bothers me, on some level i'm glad its there...it means not everyone's had to deal with it.

many many factors go into someone contemplating then going through with it. My cousin lived in fairbanks alaska his whole life. when my family moved out of alaska and back down to the lower 48, they pretty much didn't have anything to do. he wasn't popular in high school, his girlfriend had just dumped him and he was i think 2 or 3 months away from graduation. he pretty much just snapped and put one of his hunting rifles to his head.

no one realizes how many people they are hurting by going through with it. It can even affect people that didn't directly know them. although i don't want to lay blame here or there, the biggest factor in suicides is the fact that these people (for the most part) are the ones that get teased at school, are reclusive, get easily depressed, and just don't think that society cares about them. so think about who you bring down and for what reason. 100% of the time it's for totally idiotic reasons.

People who commit suicide don't care about how it affects other people because they are only thinking of themselves. Life will always throw you bumps in the rode, some bumps are bigger than others. We are all individuals and react to things differently, to someone who is not suicidal killing ones self does seem crazy because of all that is left to do, but somebody that's suicidal when they do it, they believe they are at the end and have no where left to go. Very sad, we all have the next day to live for atleast. Sorry to hear of the loss and my sympathys go out to the family of the deceased.

i had a close friend 4 years ago who started goin to a private school for high school, he was a wicked cool kid, plenty of friends, and a good life but he ended up being bi-polar and comiited suicide, its real sad stuff,

ya its awfull, i no this kid in my town, nice kid, about 16 at the time, was found dead in the morning by his little brother, whos now in 7th grade, there was question to see if he hung himself or not, last i remeber he did, its a real bad thing to do

yeah suicide is extremely hard to go through. It does bug me though when there like half the grade at school are 'suicidal' they arent, they just do it for attention. and yes, there are some that really are, and that really have problems... but what i guess upsets me the most about it, it how sometimes you have NO idea that anyone is that upset w/ their life that they would do something like that. my relative did it, and no one had any idea. we watched a video in health class about it, and its because of a chemical inbalance in the brain... where you want to hurt urself. Usually caused by extreme depression. but girls are more likely to overdose on pills, and guys are more likely to use a gun.

ya this kid didn't show any signs apparently. he was joking around and stuff the a couple hours before... just a couple days ago on thursday. it affected so many people it's unbelievable. his little 6th or 7th grade sister found him in the basement with a bullet in his head, i guess. sad.

this is the second one this year at my school alone. i'm in great falls montana.

 
i have attempted suicide before but I'm such a coward that deep down inside I knew I could never go tho with it. I was a cutter for 5 years cuz I didn't have any friends and I felt like there was no one who cared and absolutly no reason to live.. if i wasn't such a coward, I'd be dead but now my whole life has changed. I still struggle with my eating disorder and if I have abad day all I can think about is my knife but I'm way better now and Ihave for self-control and don't let myself go through with shit like that anymore. plus I have people who i think genuinely care about me now which helps. Life gets better eventually.. it did for me after 5 years... I got a bit of councelling but not too much cuz I didn't want my parents finding out but yea... councelling helped
