Suggestions for fat, stiff, all around ski?

Im looking for something with a waist around 92, and a stiff flex, 175-180cm long, that will hold up, and will ride well outside and inside the park.

Right now I'm looking at first bloods, any other suggestions?

if u have some $$, go for the the Line prophet 90 in a 179. thats uber all mountain, def. on the stiff side. also look at the mojo 90 in a simalir length.

I think you're looking for the prophet 90. Although this isn't a very stiff ski I would highly recomend the scratch BC 178. The waist is a little bigger than you're looking for as well but I rode that skis constantly last season. Park, pow w/e. Sick for everything

I'll agree with that statement. I've skied pipe then gone and done a 50 mph straighline on them the next run and they do really well at both. If you're a weenie or a smaller guy you also might want to consider the Karmas. Aside from those two, I don't know of any twin tips that width that I would consider very stiff at all.

the mojo 90s are a very sick ski, other than that mabye the nordica ignitins or the beast 12s from a year or so ago

Are the mojo 90s quite stiff? Or not so much, can someone who has skied them compare them to something. Also, does anywhere know anywhere I could get a good deal on any of these skis?

Thanks guys.

KARMAS!! sound like the perfect ski for you. mojo 90's as well, both are pretty stiff and rip in and outside of the park

Here's some Mojo 90's for $520

I can compare them to a couple different skis I've ridden, hopefully it helps out a bit. I had pocket rockets a couple years back, and although people seem to compare these two they are way different. The mojos are much stiffer, a bit slower edge-to edge, and have a much longer turn radius (which I find to be really nice at speed). I've also ridden Karmas and I found those to be softer than the heads as well, although not by a lot. The turn radius is similar on those two, but I think the Mojos are still a bit bigger. Overall they're great for going fast, they're super stable, and you can still go into the park with them if you want. Definitely geared more toward actually skiing, so if you're a park rat I'd shy away from them.

Has anyone here rode MSPs or First bloods, as well as Mojo 90s, and if so can they compare the stiffness and overall feel?

The chronic doesn't fall under the stiff category unless you weigh 80 lbs. I switched skis with a friend who rode chronics for a run one day and they scared the crap out of me because they were so soft and unstable. Maybe we just have different definitions of the word "stiff," but I think that would imply that it's hard to flex.

Yeah, Chronics are not what I would call stiff, I am looking for something that will hold up much better outside the park than chronics. I think I can go up to a 100 waist even.

My main concern is where to find a good deal on one of these skis.

if you want something stiff around a 180, get prophet 100's or msps. both skis absolutely kill it. the msps will be better for park and the 100's will be better for bc. you just have to decide what you'll be doing more of.

ya Go prophet 90 or 100 or the MSPs I think. You may even wanna go MSP supermodel for more stiffness When I say the chronics I mean the chronic blends although I've never acctually riden them so they may not be that stiff

Has anyone skied either the prophets, msps, mojo 90s or first bloods, in any combination, and want to give me a description of the differences in flex and the way they ride?

I've skied the 05-06 mojo 90s and prophets. overall I like the feel of the mojos better. they are a bit stiffer, but I heard they have softened a tad, not too much for this year. mojos start out really stiff, but after about 6 days, they seem to get a "broken in" feel, and are perfect. not too stiff and not too soft. I ride mojo 80's as my park ski also, and I can highly recommend the line. Mojo 90's sound like your baby

i don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Fischer Kehua sounds like the ski for you. 92 waist, durable (i skied them all of last year, 50+ times) they have a medium flex, but ski much more stable than others with around the same flex. real sweet ski. if you can find them, they are a sweet do everything ski. Colorado Ski and Golf had some pairs this weekend (don't know where you're at)

yea the vicious's arnt very stiff at all.

im in the exact same dilema. my resort has groomers, total shit mank and crud, and steeps, lots of pow. i need smoething stiff, yet light, because i wanna have fun. soo iv been contemplating the ANT, dunno yet. softer than last year, still stiff. you should consider them. also the Gots this year are supposed to be bomb diggity.

you want to compare these to something? 2x4, haha, jk, but it has a even flex, and in a stiff ski that makes it feel even stiffer as the tips and tails are as stiff as the rest of the ski.

Take the karma, very stiff and very durable.

But it is only 87 underfoot, but do really mind the missing 3????

Im actually going to be skiing in the park and in deep pow in trees and stuff, out of bounds deep stuff. So they need to be fat and good.

Kehuas are quite soft, not stiff at all.

karma might not be wide enough for you if u want a fatter ski go gotama...msps might be a good choice...but i would be leaning towards the mojo 90 if i were you.

Who? I only said it cause he said he wanted something that would ski outside the park well, and everyone is giving him stiff as skis, so if he wants a stiff ass ski that holds its own, the ANT is a good choice.

Nah, i was kidding, but you've said that in several threads that I've seen. But yeah, if you're thinking in the 100 range now, prophet 100? Jp vs julien?
