Suggestions for a new pair of playful mid fat all mtn skis

So I made a similar thread last season, got recommendations to get reckoner 112s and grabbed a pair, skied them for like 50 days or so and blew an edge out. I really liked the surfy-ness, flex and shape of those. Big fan, but maybe looking for something more turny and definitely more durable. I’ve been looking into the deathwishes, they look like a blast and have a huge cult following that makes me wanna get em. I like that the shape and dimensions are similar to the reckoners, just really wondering about the flex for nose butters and overall skiing style. If anyone has skied the wildcats and can compare them that would be great. Open to any other suggestions too, I’m like 6’2 190 and like to ski pretty aggressive but in a playful way, so I’m looking for something that can charge decently but still butter, turn quickly and jib around decently. I mainly ski wp, eldo, copper, abay so often find myself in bumps and tight trees which is another factor. Maybe there isn’t a ski that can do all that and still be playful enough to fuck around in the park but you guys know better than me. Appreciate any guidance

Would highly recommend the standard deathwish. It’s going to check all the boxes you’re asking for.

they are super playful and fun on the mountain. I previously purchased the cat 08 and the fat cat 118 thinking they would be more fun than the wish but after the demo I was sold sold sold on triple camber. Having both cats and both wish for me is a great quiver

demoed the deathwish and ended up bringing home a pair of 112. Got the 104 during the blem sale too.

love my cats. Both versions. Great ski. I just personally find the wishes more fun to ski. And they seem to handle variable conditions better than both of my cats.

Jeffery 102/110. They're definitely stiffer than a reckoner but when you get used to how they flex and pop you out of butters they're incredible. I switched to them from my 3rd pair of reckoner 102s and am never looking back

ON3P Jeffrey 100%

I skied on Jeffrey’s or Caylors (the precursor to the Jeff) for 9 years (I don’t ski anymore). Only went through two pairs… the original pair is still entirely skiable after prob 200+ days on em but liked the new shape more.

I like surfy too. I got mine custom made softer than normal. They were incredible, the first pair was soft almost like a slightly stiffer hellbent (again, they were custom and I got them extra soft exactly like what I wanted) but so much more torsionally rigid. The second pair I got production stiffness and they were awesome as I was a stronger skier then. Bamboo hits different.

edit for context:

I owned:

-custom preproduction 2009/2010 115 undefoot

- preproduction (001 serial number claim) 2013/2014 110 underfoot

I had / skied on for a period of time and gave back:

- preproduction 2011 120 underfoot

- preproduction 2011 110 undefoot

- prototype 2015 110 undefoot

-preproduction 2019 116 underfoot

i demoed and gave feedback on pretty much all years from about 2010-2020 while also trying out all competitors skis at SIA.

the only skis I thought were comparable were a handful of offerings from Moment and one year of the Candide 3.0 (if I remember right) from faction (but not other years or versions). Didn’t think anything else came close.

Well shit now I’m stuck between deathwishes and the jeffereys… has anyone been on both?

I have both (Jeff 102, DW 112). I can't be very helpful though because they are my two all time favorite skis and if you held a gun to my head and made me choose I might just take the shot. I grab the Jeff's most days, but have more time overall on the DW's. I ski WP/Copper/AB exclusively, ski bumps/trees/techy stuff. If I had to say anything it would maybe be that the DW is a little easier to ski and does better on firm, but is not quite as surfy (barely) or damp, and does not have the bamboo core pop. I have both mounted at rec.

I have a pair of jeffery 108s 186cm that I would let go for $350.

I have a pair of 186 camoxes, at 6’3 they’re small enough to rip around the trees, not the butteriest and sometimes feel a little damp but pretty insane pop. Never tried them on a rail but they do pretty well with jumps, cliffs, and any size side hit you throw at them

Go bent 110. its a lighter ski than the deathwish and jeffery but friggin rips for a light ski.

Say what? The 110 is a soft noodle compared to a deathwish/wildcat. There is absolutely no comparison between the skis.

I own the 120 and have demod the 100 and 110. Also own deathwish and wildcats.

no way would I recommend any bent to someone considering deathwish or wildcats.

The Bents are also noodles compared to the Jeff. Jeff is a stiffboi.
