anybody have any recommendations in the reggae area? stuff like slightly stoopid and the supervillains and the expendables.

I wouldn't go as far to say SS and the Expendables are reggae. More reggae-inspired So-cal rock. But whatever, they're top on my list. Listen to Mystic Roots, Dub Congress, Pepper, Long Beach Dub Allstars/Short Bus if thats what your looking for. As for Reggae: Cocoa Tea, Lutan Fyah, Gyptian, Capleton, Sizzla, Barrington Levy, All the Marleys, Lyricson, Gregory Isaacs, Cali P..... the list goes on.

tosh fucking rules. my dad named his first cat out of college 'tosh', that cat got eaten by a fucking dog though.

yeah he said he heard rustling at the door and looked out the window next to the door and he stared into the eyes of this big ugly dog, and out of its mouth hung tosh's hind legs and tail. he chased it with a shovel but never caught it. fuck that, i bet that kitten was chill.

yo thanks guys. i already have a lot of the stuff you're talkin' bout (toots and the maytals, long beach shortbus/dub allstars, peter tosh, etc), but i'm gonna check out the stuff i haven't heard of.

oh yea, and to Donger, yea i know Stoopid is reggae roots rock. i never really gave two shits about sub-genres. i gave one shit once though.

I assume you listen to Bob Marley

Ziggy Marley, Alpha Blondy, UB 40, Aswad, Peter Tosh, Freddy Mc Gregor, Wayne Wade, Third World, Rita Marley, Johnny Baby, Maxi Priest,

Burning Spear, Abja, Abyssinians, Steele Pulse, Anthony B., Cutty Ranks, Easy All Stars, Eek A Mouse, Jimmy Cliff, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Richie Spice, Turbulence, and all the Marley's

The Mad Caddies are fun as hell to see in concert. If you want some old

school reggae i would recommend Third World, Bob Marley, Steel Pulse

and Peter Tosh,

buju banton, c'daynga, turbulence, ziggi marley, damien marley, bob marley, collie buddz, luciano, and the rest of the stuff above you.
