Sugarloaf exspands backside snowfields

yeah dude its dope. They have expanded so much this up coming year. New cliff lines and pillow lines in phase 2. Going to be a sick winter there. Cant wait to hike up to phase two

that sounds so epic! sounds mad gnarly too.hoping to make it up to the loaf this year atleast a few times

Yeah. You can hike golden road to burnt mountain. Im not 100 percent sure if it's in bounds. They have guides that can take you there too but that costs money

The burnt snowfields are basically pointless to ride, its too wind exposed, and any good snow on a normal day blow right off of it. They also arent really that steep. You can take golden road pretty far up them, but not all that close to the snowline honestly. The real good terrain is above the old cant dog glade, and drops back in to the first part of bracket on far skiers right. That terrain will be gated entrance this year, it used to kinda be off the map.

What a lot of people dont realize is that a lot of this stuff had been cut, but was just really tight trees before, and it wasnt technically inbounds, but you could make it back to the resort from it. It is going to be gaper city up in there now.

Yeah I haven't been to the burnt snow fields. Seems pointless to me. I wanna hike golden rode then just take phase two down. Yeah it's gunna be mad gaper city in there. I'm gunna go right as far as can then hike up so no gapers

Yessir! There will be hiking/skinning access to the summit of Burnt this year. So as long as there's enough snow coverage like last year you'll be able to go snowfield to snowfield. I'm stoked to personally get up there.

If anyone has any loaf questions feel free to hit me up. I'm working as the snow reporter this year so I'll have my finger on the pulse as far as mountain ops go. Also expect to see an official Loaf account floating around these parts letting you guys know what's going on. I plan to keep NS very well updated in terms of park and conditions reports

I aswell am very stoked to exsplore the new terrain, Some guys last year. Had hiked up and skiied it and said that it was totally worth the hike he said there was waist deep pow and several nice cliff drops as well as a really nice line going down the side of burnt.

I bet there's some killer terrain somewhere tucked away up there and just into the woods. We were skiing one day off skyline last year and saw some dudes making their way up (and back down) it. Looked so sick
