SUGARLOAF BRACKETT BASIN HELP!

hey i am headed to sugarloaf in January and just discover that the bracket basin area you can ski and it is like glades and non marked trails there i want to go explore it but the skis i have are line chronics. all the youtube videos make it look like you need some powder skis. can i get some help of what i need to take with me there

yo i ski it all the time on my park skis. You dont need anything crazy, just bring a cell phone if you're going to be alone. they dont let you enter after a certain time. Also make sure you don't ski too far to the right, because then you'll miss the cutoff and have to hike a bit on nordic trails. its happened to me several times. It is a ton of fun in there if you know where to go. I reccomend staying as high as you can and cut across towards burnt mountain for a while until you have to hike, then dropping in and skiing left.
 
bracket basin is sweet!!! yeah no need for pow skis there. pow skis would probably be less fun because bracket requires a lot of tight turns through trees.

as others have said bring a phone and a buddy and don't go too far right. people have gotten lost and literally frozen to death
