What was the setup? I'm home and jake was busy building it on friday to fill me in. I hit jumps 1 and 2 when they were still building them, how was 3? rails?
You're probably already aware, but there's the 3 jump line (which are maybe 25, 35, 45 footers? I'd like to know the exact size). The third isn't as poppy but it friggin sends you. The landing's so long you can take it wayyy past the sweet spot and still have an easy landing. Then there's a pretty long flat box and an up rail - which the last foot or two got really sticky yesterday which sucked. Then there's two big barrels on top of each other on top of a big mound of snow then a down rail and a down w/ a donkey dick.
Being able to hit the three jumps in stomping grounds then the three in haywire is so sick. I hope they keep it like that through the season - they're all really well shaped.
Any word on when the upper section of haywire will be open?
The jump line was so hot compared to T72's jumps. The second one was perffffffffff, I pussied out the whole day though and never hit the last one. Whole setup was super on point, I wish I lived closer. This drive blows, for sure.
2nd and 3rd jumps in haywire were tweaked for a comp tomorrow. The 2nd large jump is perfect, the 3rd sent me almost to the bottom of that massive landing. Stoked to get them reset!
Snowmaking tonight in the upper section for more rails n stuff.
Yo Dresser you around tomorrow? I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. I'll either be in a blue sugarloaf coat with my name on a nametag or a red/grey saga monarch jacket. black helmet
cool, I dont get up to Sugarloaf as often, but when I do, its a blast. I love how parks are one after another, so you can take Stomping Grounds into Haywire. Current jibs in stomping grounds are like perfect progression size too so thats cool.
It will be. Boardercross/weather has slowed park building to a crawl. They've seen this shitty fucking weather the past few weeks and have avoided creating a setup that they would just have to tear down after a few days to rebuild
We got 3" of snow last night above mid-mountain which thankfully made some of the upper stuff bearable. Snowmaking is going to fire up guns on a bunch of trails and resurface stuff the next few days and hopefully stockpile enough for the MLK crowds
Park is pretty good right now! not sure what the little wall ride thing is, and the down to up donkey is kinda weird to say the least.. but honestly a really fun park lap right now, I am enjoying myself.
If I had one piece of adivce for the terrain park crew, it would be to put more jibs in the whifflepark, shits so fun and that little roller line is so prime to tiny wings the shit out of it.
Heading up for a full week over February break. Hope to shred with some familiar faces from here, Ill prolly be hitting rails in Stomping Grounds and Haywire.
Yeah as far as I know this was its first weekend, its essentially the same but with the jump line back with the first couple of rails and nothing where it was originally held
Green armada crush jacket with grey pants. May or may not be wearing my dakine 11L backpack for hiking. Going to be in bracket and phase 2 most of the time
I will be leaving later in the day and staying till Thursday. I don't think I will make it up in time to ski today. Haha that's sick to hear tho. It's a sick stereo
