Sugarbush

i think it was a few years ago they had the jump line on which way. they should do that, but some new rails and more creative shit would be good.

i took such a hard fall on one of their jumps like a month ago, i honestly would rather see them set up all the rails and get unique with some. ill be the whole weekend tho :)

Damn, I really want them to have some jumps, I was just starting to get the feel of 5's and stuff. I'll prob be up next weekend, but for now I'm on the couch, surfin NS, with a pile of tissues next to me and some cough medicine.

the butter bash was actually pretty crazy. saw some hand drag 3s and 5s over the rainbow and a 360 swap on the battleship box. definitely a snowboarding comp though and they were throwing down some crazy buttery shit

the whole jump thing was a joke... mostly... i think

all the jumps are still there. and now that it is finally dumping out, they should be able to fix the landings and everything that was getting fucked with so little snow.

nope, the storm covered most of the features on graduation and the lower section so they all had to be reset, park has been closed since the storm and reopening tomorrow from what i heard. hope to see some new stuff and longer landings especially on the last jump. seemed like i was landing near the bottom every time and i dont think i was going that fast for the size of it.

I was at MRG today. The snow was pretty funky. The higher up you got, the better it got though. and the stuff that had been skied was pretty good.

now two options on the first jump

there was a pile next to the spindle/bonk thing... small jump? maybe for another bonk type of feature?

was talking to the park manager today and he said everything that is in the jumpline right now is pretty much shaped and everything, they just need to get it smoothed out and groomed... which, was a cause for a bad mood. the groomer that did the park recently quit. they will pull someone over to get it done but im sure there will be some mistakes the first few times they groom it. thankfully you cant really fuck up the shape of something once its there. i just want those jumps open again. im not a fan of graduation after the barrel bonk

jumps were open today but shit, grooming better get better because it was choppy as shit.

loading dock was messed up a bit, and the landing of the first jump was ok but the in run for the second jump was choppy, i was speed checking for the smaller side and my skis were just bouncing around. fucked.

Sick edit. I was up sunday and there was some fresh in the woods if you looked for it, but it was not all the snow they claimed.

The snow there was, was heavy as shit.

pshhhhhh, snows fucking snow, it may have been like concrete, but it is still a shitload of snow haha

Trust me I'm not complaining, if anything its good because it makes a great base for later in the season.

probably to work on the whole grooming thing. landings, transition, in run, lips... they were all fucked on sunday

whats the deal with some ski the east freeride comp this weekend? rogge was talking about it on the ski show last night.

it would be funny to see a park rat kid win it. just to prove to everyone park skiers can ski the rest of the mountain. i kind of want to try, but dont know if ill even be there saturday

Just wondering...does anybody know how it is being judged in the air/style category. I can ski moguls just fine but I'm not sure about spinning or doing tricks and then landing back in the moguls. Are there going to be kickers in the course? or will it be more of a "pop off a mogul and see what happens" type of thing? Any info would be nice.

I kind of want to enter, but have no idea what it would be like.

Plus I don't even know if I can make it Saturday

I saw some pictures from this last year, it seems like its more moguls with airs involved. For instance linking up some of the Cliffs on lift line with some smooth moguls, maybe throwing out a three if you can. it isn't a trick contest at all. Im sure someone who hits big smooth airs and slays the moguls will win over a medicore run with some cool tricks. There will probably be some oldschool guys competing in this, the style is gonna be awesome. I think i may be competeing.

For example: This is the winner from last year.

Yes. There is also a Rail Jam going on at Sugarbush too. I am doing the castlerock. I am pretty excited. Very limited registration though. I am more nervous about getting registered in time then actually competing. Ideally I'd love to mach it with a 3 in my run.

Does anyone know if the jump line at Ellen will be open tmr? Also, will there still be sections of rails open or are they all closed cause of the rail jam.
Ben (Jib-Life), you gonna be up there tmr? Wanna shred?
