they should set up a box-box transfer like park city has. Use a wide box and then stagger another box left/right of it with a narrower one.

anyone know what the deal is with the event saturday?

cabot butter bash. Fbook page says they pulled their butter box, so im guessing thats involved?
 
it's not this weekend it's next weekend.

And I imagine it's gonna take place in the park on North? Or somewhere down near the lodge.

assuming they set it up how they usually do it will be pretty trickable with the only real limiting factor being it is super fat. i've honestly been really dissapointed in sugarbush this year their jump line is the worst it has been since i can remember, while they may be killing it with a bunch of rails that really doesn't make up for a terrible jump line. Also after hearing about the set up for the butter bash i'm even more disapointed having a rail jam with out any rails is pretty dumb in my opinion it will just turn into a spin fest on the boxes
 
i didnt ski sugarbush last year but i have seen videos of the jump line and i really think they stepped it up this year. having the jumps at the beginning and having three completely different variations of jumps (slight stepover, table, step down) makes a pretty nice jumpline for the room they have. also, they arent calling it a railjam, it is a butter bash. wide boxes, butter pads... pretty self explanatory there. they are mixing up the comps and doing a pretty good job of it by not being the same as every other resort.

you also have to remember that sugarbush park crew is mostly snowboarders, the resort sponsors boarders, and they have more boarders in the park than skiers. obviously they are going to keep making things a little more boarder oriented, which still works fine for skiers other than a couple features (which have other options next to them)
 
I'll be up there tomorrow with a buddy of mine that is pretty new to skiing, so it should be interesting.

no trust me, they have stepped down their jumps over the past two years. 2008 they had a dope jump line, last year was okay, and this year is pretty bad so far. grant it there has not been a single solid snow storm yet, but still
 
jumps are def a joke, but I don't hit them anymore so I don't care.

The butter bash being all boxes is def a let down and it sounds like it will be largely border based.

Whatever, I have sessioned with most of the borders at Bush, in all honesty I'd rather session with them then some of the kids who ski the park.
 
anyone see the pro in the gsuit today? kid skied off or over the lips of almost every feature in the park ahaha

The step on shit def needs to stop. I have not seen a single one of those kids even get remotely near cleaning a rail from doing it. It's not that it's not a cool trick, just when you weigh only 20lbs your not gonna have enough speed to keep your balance and get to the end haha.

I guess everyone toots to their own beat though.

Hopefully someone got that fall of mine on cam on Sat. I def would like to see that, have not ate shit that hard in a long ass time.
 
not sure if we caught that fall. I dont think we got any good shots of you unfortunealtey, you were usually wrappin up your sessions when we were filming. but ya we actualyl got one good shot of the kid doing a dope step on trick. edit up in like an hour. going on vimeo and facebook now but that shit takes a while.
 
yeh we gotta film together at some point, I left that day cus my knees were fucked haha, ate shit mad hard on a 2 onto that down rail.

hope they are just moving stuff around. so what if they cant fit every rail in at the bottom... just switch some out. they have a few things that are barely hit.
 
roller coaster box and cannon will be fun.

would like to see some creative shit though like a rail to rail transfer or something
