Sugarbush

I'll be there too, I'll keep an eye out. I'll still be in blue saga top and gray pants.

I'm hoping to get my 3's on lock tomorrow.

I saw eggnog today, hiked with ya for a while

rail park is mad fun, jumps are sick too

i was in da yellow tall tee

jumps are pretty fucking huge. mostly stayed on graduation today. hiked for a while with a few of you (blue tee, yellow pants, no really big tricks but a few tail presses)

anyone who hasnt seen the large park, it is:

down box or c box option up top

into a 15 foot step down into a stepover (30+ with lots of pop and a deadly knuckle)

into a multiple option feature including a hip on the left, a stepover in the center (40ish) and a smaller kicker making a 20-25 foot table (...perfect speed for most was from the top of the first landing straight into this one. lot of people were hiking this today)

the last feature is another multiple option, center is a 50ish and on the left is a 35-40 foot

on graduation there is:

banked box

flat box

short down bar with urban lip

short flat box (ride on) with a drop

then the option of a battle ship rail or up down rail

ends with a ledge/drop/headwall thing (great for butters)

I def saw a bunch of you guys today. I was in the blue saga top. I was trying to get my fs switchups down, it didn't really work, I almost did one like twice. When I was doing my 3s I got way too far in the backseat.

Yo bush friends.

I have some goggles I'd like to sell, and thought I'd try in here in case one of you were interested and we wouldnt have to worry about shipping.

PM me if you're interested!

yeah i was trying those too for a while. i dont think i ever got one all the way. couldnt even get 270 off fs or bs except on the shorter box with the drop. did bs 270 off that on second run no problem.

youve never heard of church!?! you gotta get out of the park once in a while. its the most classic woods sugarbush has. you know the bare cliffs you see to the right of paradise? its in there. you gotta hike on the LT for a bit

I also had no idea what this "church" is, so I searched it on google.
taken fromhttp://www.onthesnow.com/vermont/sugarbush/reviews_b.html?review_id=6042
"THE CHURCH -- this is the only off trail entity i will mention. you will see it every time you go up heaven's gate lift. it is the rock outcropping skier's right. you can't miss seeing it. now, the church is holy ground, mecca, in your adventure in skiing and riding. i only know of jon egan, the director of the ski school for having done this extreme terrain. it is a 30 foot cliffdrop into trees. i know more have done it, but that doesn't include me. you really, really, really better know what you are doing. "
I was pretty bored...

rumour, but i heard talks of an up rail on the 1st step up, like next to the jump

that would be so sick im sayin

I was there today and the park is looking sick. It's mostly the same except their making a nice rail garden.

This is what they had set up when I left at noon:

Rainbow Box

Wall Ride

Mini Wall Ride

Urban style pipe rail

Normal urban style rail

Flat Box to Down Box

I also saw two rails that weren't set up.

That's all I know for sure, maybe they're adding even more.

They also made the step over a normal jump, but it looks like it would be hard to get enough speed to clear it.

As for the conditions today:

They were OK. We got a few inches, but underneath that fluff is ice chunks and weird funky conditions because of how warm it was.

It was pretty hard to clear even the 20 footer. My bro and I had to slip out the run in and the jump. After that it was pretty good. I'm pretty stoked because I got 3's with safety grabs down pretty solid. I also did the rail unnatural, and almost got my fs and bs switchups down.

I have a feeling that once the mountain gets skied enough, or we get enough snow the conditions will be great.

I'll be at Mad River next Saturday and Sugarbush next Sunday.

i was at sugarbush last friday and saturday and it was fucking sick. sugarbush has orgasmic trees and slidebrook is wicked lush

sick mountain

ill be there at least one of the days. i keep thinking about trying a 2 on and showing up the guys i ride with. just need to commit.

really? they filled it in man, they didnt change the length of the jump.

and it sounds like they have a top to bottom run now folks.

ive seen pictures of what appears to be another c box, wall ride, down bar to flat bar (urban), and some more boxes. didnt see any signs of the battleship box or rainbow though

i went today. the jumps are okay, a little small, but the light was wicked flat so i didnt feel like going crazy on them. the last jump kind of just drops you out of the sky which isnt that cool, not much pop or hang time. after this they have two wall rides facing down the trail so you can hit them as boxes or butter on them. they also have a rainbow box. after that they have a down rail or flat box option, then they have a flat down box or down bar option, then they have a down flat bar or c box on its side option. there are two small throw away rails at the very bottom.

great bluebird day today

they shortened up the last jump and shaved off the top of the kicker, but its still good if you just hit everything in a row and dont shed off too much of your speed.

below the jumps are:

large wall ride (slanted box on top), rainbow box, small wall (flat box on top), flat box, single barrel rail, down bar, flat to down box, down flat bar, c box (set up sideways to have some pop on the end), two rollers, and a small flat rail at the bottom before the mound of snow by the lift line (good to try hand drags on)
